This is an in-depth look at the head center in human design.
In this video you will learn the following 4 quadrants related to the head center:
1) The healthy expression of the defined head center in Human Design.
2) The unhealthy expression of the defined head center in Human Design.
3) The healthy expression of the undefined head center in Human Design.
4) The unhealthy expression of the undefined head center in Human Design.
In the Human Design System, the Head Centre (Head Center) provides the pressure and inspiration for conceptualizing. It is the pressure or fuel behind thinking.
In this video, I share in depth about the expression of the head centre in it’s healthy/unhealthy defined state. I also share how it expresses for healthy/unhealthy undefined states.
If you have a defined head center, this will help you to understand your head center as well as the people in your life with this center undefined.
==============================
Before you explore which centres (centers) in your chart you have defined or undefined, it is important to understand the dynamic of undefined and defined centers mechanically.
The Centers in your chart that are coloured in are defined, or fixed aspects of you that express daily, and the centers that are undefined, are places where you are taking in energies from those around you in your aura.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Learn all about Fundamentals of Human Design in this comprehensive full video tutorial.
In this video I go in-depth on the ins and outs of this particular element of the Human Design System. Originally a 5-month Human Design Fundamentals course priced at $2500, you can learn the basics here for free.
Go in order as you can learn the basics of Human Design from the beginning. Start by understanding:
1) The 4 Types (Generator, Projector, Manifestor, Reflector)
2) The 3 Most Common Decision-Making Authorities (Emotional Authority, Sacral Authority, Splenic Authority)
3) The 9 Centres (Head, Ajna, Throat, G, Heart/Ego/Will, Sacral, Spleen, Solar Plexus, Root)
4) Circuitry and Profile (Individual Circuitry, Integration Circuitry, Tribal Circuitry, Collective Circuitry) (1/3, 1/4, 2/4, 2/5, 3/5, 3/6, 4/6, 4/1, 5/1, 5/2, 6/2, 6/3)

Speaking as someone who has a defined head and ajna centers, you are wrong to say that we are not able to be “open” in our thinking, that we are fixed on our thoughts. I am incredibly open to other people’s perspectives and love to deeply consider other people’s perceptions. I definitely don’t believe I know it “all” and believe that every individual view is what creates the reality we live in. My suggestion to you, as a a Human Design coach would be to spend a lot more time with that 30% with defined head and ajna centers. I’m giving this video a thumbs down. 👎🏼

Hi Jessica, I have interacted and spent much time with those with a defined head and ajna, and witnessed the differences experientially. It's not that people with a defined ajna can't be openminded and consider other viewpoints. My former business partner was a brilliant woman with a defined ajna, who had a mind of a mechanic and an intuitive. She was mystical and took mystical teachings and translated them practically. She was a great teacher and able to answer many questions, but ultimately, the y all filtered back to her way of conceptualizing. The mind is fixed in the way it thinks. This is common knowledge in HD. Take care.

@@karenmcmullen that still doesn’t mean we aren’t open. Part of investigation is getting information from different sources to test its reliability.

I agree. This video seems biased, based on some of Karen's experiences. Possibly if Karen explored her reactions to her experience of the amplified pressure to think a certain way.... would be healthy for her. I've really been enjoying her other videos though and this is the first time I found it to be reactive from her own view point :))

I agree, and I also took issue with being described as "always having PRESSURE to think." Its not experienced as PRESSURE to us. Thinking is natural, instinctive, even peaceful and serene -- and most importantly, thoughtful, respectful and considerate. Entirely too much awfulness is done in this world because people believe it makes sense to do things and to try to engage and interact with others without "thinking" about 1) what they're doing, 2) how it will affect and impact others, and 3) what their actions will do to their own peace of mind. Thinking is only PRESSURE to those who don't think much of anything through before 'doing' or 'speaking.'

I’m the cross of the four ways and I really need to know my Incarnation I usually search by myself to learn before I presume to actually consult someone and as I learn I help others learn their own incarnation as well I truly want to make the effort myself , I do not like taking the easy way out , and I can never stop thinking of things I need to keep learning it’s like my love language

If your intention was to genuinely offer appreciation for making this information available to you, I will just let you know that your comment doesn't land with me that way given that you used it to smuggle a criticism that also assumed a collective agreement that is unsubstantiated. In the future, if you want to offer me constructive feedback, I prefer to receive it in a way that owns it, such as "I would like to offer you the feedback that I saw X part of your video as having a personal bias and potentially inaccurate." I am grateful for feedback as I am always learning. But I will not tolerate disrespect on my channel because it is too costly to my creativity.

@@karenmcmullen You make it very difficult to show gratitude towards you miss McMullen. I will be more clear: After searching around some and not getting much wiser I found this particular video to be very helpful to distinguish between the def. and undefined head, as I am once more looking into doing this myself as my bodygraph isn't what I would expect; the recent "true sidereal" HD discussions going on has reignited my search for my real design. However I felt that that you were a little bit "on the side" of the undefined head, and wanted to emphasize that I was nevertheless appreciative just because someone else seemed to react very strongly and I wanted to neutralize that. It is OK if it happens that you side with your own traits a little, since that is just human after all. I second that it was a little biased, but I don't appreciate people talking that way to content creators at all. Or anyone. Lastly bittersweet compliments are likely more genuine, don't you think?

@@oscarl.3563 Thanks for taking the time to share more. I could have been overly sensitive to your comment this morning. I decided to share my feelings, which I don't always do. I am not sure about bittersweet compliments. It's not always genuine...sometimes it's just a sh*t sandwich. But I hear that it wasn't and I appreciate your intentions.

2:52 Kuzco from Emperor's New Groove must have an undefined head center like myself. In the beginning when Pacha asked where will his family relocate to, Kuzco responds, "Hmmm.. Don't know don't care. How's that?" 😂 Thank you for this advice! It's good to recognize what questions aren't really ours so we don't waste precious energy on things we never cared for in the first place!

It will help you to look up other people’s charts and see what it’s like for you to be around people with a defined ajna. You may think a lot, and deal with amplified thinking, but it’s not the same as Someone with definition. There are in depth videos about this in the In-depth tutorials playlist.

Very useful. Would it be correct to see the Head Center as receiving Inspiration from outside the body, and then distributing Pressure down into the body via the Ajna?
@karenmcmullen
@karenmcmullen 4 года назад
Hi Sage, Yes to the head receiving inspiration from outside the body. I'm not sure about whether or not what you are saying is accurate about distributing pressure down into the body via the Ajna. Definitely the inspiration fuels thinking, and thinking attempts to make it's way to the throat for expression. That's about as far as I can say!
