This is so perfect! I just adopted my first bearded dragon. He had a loving home and great care but life happened. You really helped me to change the way my beardie feels. When I bought my beardie 6 years ago the store that I bought him from never told me how to properly take care of him. They just said that one lamp would be enough ... 5 years after my purchase he began to develop MBD and I did not know what to do. Then I discovered your channel and immediately changed my lamps (which have uva and uvb), bought him calcium powder and just fed him properly. Thank you so much for your helpful videos ☺️🙏🏻❤️

I have a dragon that's over a year and I'm still really struggling to get her to eat salad. Haven't tried the making her only eat salad till she gets it. Guess that's next!! Thank you as always and I'm very sorry about Belly. 😥

What if you feed bugs every day, but in smaller portions, so the ratio would still be mostly greens

Follow the examples in the video... Watch the greens video, if that doesn't work try a slurry or "be hard on them" as I explain in the video.

Good afternoon, @lizardguru I have a question , how do you know if your baby is a juvenile or adult ? My husband found a beardie in front of our garage door and has been with me since (it’s been 6 months since I’ve had him). Now he measures at 15 inches which at the time he measured 13inches. Are there any specific characteristics that can separate the two stages of life? P.S. I know about stunted growth, runt of clutch, and specific species can play a factor on the size of a bearded dragon, but was curious to know if there was a telltale sign of maturity.

So it’s not ok to shred a squash and freeze half of it? It seems impossible for my one dragon to eat an entire squash in one week. What do you suggest to feed them if it’s not ok to freeze the squash?

Fresh and live food is always healthiest. I easily go through a whole squash each week with all my babies. Anything that is left over, I give to the bugs I breed and or buy for my babies. Butternut squash is amazing for all of them. Also, squash is only one small thing to feed. It should not be the majority of their diet. When I first got my baby, he wouldn't eat greens. I had to put drops of water on Hito's nose and handfeed Hito greens. A few days afterwards, I saw my baby eat greens on his own. My point is, if you dedicate yourself to getting your baby on the right track, they will eat greens.
