It was also a shared childhood memory for both himself and Yuna, where they would have dragonflies 'battle' (a distraction from their mother) - as shared during the infiltration of Yarikawa.

PWNalityTV Taka was surprising to most, but Kage’s was drawn out with the music and was so cinematic... made it impossible not to cry

The song was so haunting and sad.

@@asiancajun0438 its even more sadder if you remember the cutscenes showing how close your bond with your horse is, after liberating a mongol territory/completing missions. This made Jin's horse death more sadder than Arthur's imo

When Taka died. I was pissed. Had to take my anger out on the Mongols/ straw hats and when my horse (Sora) died, like man that was sad 😥

Me too i have same feels as you when those samurai use arrow shot a bow to my horse (kage) I so worried abou him when he can't not take anylonger body's down i crying myeye get tears drop he just like a family to me 😭😭😭😢😭💔

Fun fact at both the horse and takas graves you can bow and effects happen.

I can’t believe they killed the horse fam. Why. There was no reason to put us through that😭😭😭😭

My dog passed away a few months back and this scene took me right back to that moment. I had to stop playing the game for a while.

oh yeah I've cried during these games (and probably more): The Last Of Us pt. 1 & 2 (Damn you Druckman!!!) Metal Gear Solid 3 Death Stranding (Damn you Kojima!) Ghost of Tsushima there's nothing wrong with crying at a good story :(

Yep. I was expecting to see a tip but man I almost broke down the second time when it was just that picture.

Between this and TLOU2 we've had some pretty heartwrenching games this year...

yeah, it gets more and more tragic and sad as it goes along. >.> I cried so hard at the Yuiko quest line (Jin's care taker from when he was a child)...because she reminded me a lot of my own grandmother who passed away.

It's crazy to me a lot of people didn't she'd a tear at the horse partner I knew it was coming and choose to not feel for my horse wile playing the fame and I still cried😵

Yeah, even visuals aside, this story was absolutely insane, the best power of good writing is its ability to, even when you know what is coming, make you feel strongly about the choices that the characters make. This, without a shadow of a doubt, has my vote for game of the year and is a stunning conclusion to the PS4 era.

SPOILER ALERT: @@aaaaayes3166 personally, I'm not really sad about what happened between him and Shimura. I think I saw the renouncement coming from a mile away, with Shimura constantly chastising Jin for being "dishonorable" in the way he deals with the Mongols. Which, I believe, is also understandable since Jin's questionable actions will eventually garner negative feedback from the people he's saving (I know, it's a shitty thing, but that's how humans are). However, I agree with Jin's reasoning and perspective, as well. If he just stuck to how the samurai did things, a lot more people would be dead, same with what happened on the beach, at the beginning of the game. He chose to give up his own honor, if only it would save more people in the process. Case in point: it would have been a massacre if they waited until dawn to press the attack, what with all the traps and surprises the Mongols had prepared. So, yeah. It IS a sad thing that Shimura chose to abandon Jin. But since I already had that feeling ever since Act I, I was quite ready for it. Unlike what happened to Taka and Kage, who stuck with Jin through thick and thin and gave up their own lives for him. Those two sacrifices will always be more impactful than Shimura's "betrayal". But that's just me. :)

Why do they always kill the horse :(

Losing anyone else hurts so bad to him. He will do anything so it doesn't happen. He has emotional attachment which is something "forbidden" but makes him even more powerful
