@@onr881 No the guards still lets Link out when he's in his human form cause they see he has a sword to protect his myself with but the deku mask is the only one they prevent from leaving
This, and realizing that (normally, through a regular playthrough without glitches) you cannot save everybody within a 3 day time period, due to some quests being only obtainable OVER the the 3 days (Couple's Mask, for example) is heartbreaking. Sure, you can argue that once the moon has stopped falling, all is okay, but there are certain events that its not the case. It is a sad, sad reality.
Majora's Mask carries a lot of really sad elements but hides them deep in the plot. It is one of the most deep and secretly depressing games ever to exist. It's the greatest Zelda game ever, in my opinion.
Oldfag here, can confirm. The only other game that came pretty close to making me feel what I felt when I played _Majora's Mask_ for the first time was _Outer Wilds,_ totes recommend.
My top 10 all time: 🛡️⚔️ #10 A Link To The Past #9 Link’s Awakening #8 Twilight Princess #7 Minish Cap #6 A Link Between Worlds #5 Tears of the Kingdom #4 Breath of the Wild #3 Majora’s Mask #2 Wind Waker #1 Ocarina of Time
In the Manga for majoras mask it's confirmed that the butlers son died and that's his mask. When link defeats the God of Wood fall the princess asks him to put on the mask due to links deku form resembling the butlers son
The whole game is actually sad when you really think about it because the deku butler mourns for the loss of his son the zoras hope to see mikau and they miss him dearly the gorons lost their drummer sadly aka darmani and then the to make matters worse is the fact that nobody even remembers that link was the ons who saved them all and it sucks to know that nobody remembers their own hero even though he went through it all just for them not to remember him its such a sad story and game.
If we all know by now, it is part of the puzzles and the function of the song, to create lifeless clones of the spirit of the mask (or create lifeless clones of Link's current form)
I can confirm. The Skull Kid used Majora’s Mask to rip out his soul, killing him instantly. He then used the soul as a template for Link’s curse at the beginning of the game.
I knew about the tree but was the soul of the Deku mask extracted from the tree hence why it was there right there after you first changed into a Deku and why SkullKid even changed Link in the first place?
This game is completely freaking trash. I don't understand why people like this game. It's boring it's lame and it's bad Ocarina of time was the only zelda game that was the true masterpiece
Yes. When transforming Link into his Deku Scrub form at the beginning of the game, the Skull Kid used the Deku Butler's Son who just so happened to be nearby as the basis for the form to trap Link in. This is hinted at when you finish the race with the Deku Butler after bringing the Deku Princess back from Woodfall Temple. As.he mentions that seeing Link's Deku Scrub form reminds him of his son. At the end credits, if you've acquired the Mask of Scents, you'll see a scene of the Deku Butler learning what happened to his Son.
Wait a second. For obtaining deku mask you use a melody called song of heal thqt turns the dark magic into masks. And Skull Kid turned you into a Deku. Are you suggesting that SK killed someone only for turning a hero into a deku scrub? I mean he has Majora's mask but i don't think that the mask affects Skull kid THIS much
