It's really not. Other than looks and a magazine, they work differently. A BLR doesn't have an AR style lock up on the bolt that arguably improve accuracy. Or a geared bolt. The way the lever works is even different.
And now it's a year later and Henry have been showing off prototypes of the LASR model that takes AR mags. Not sure when they'll start shipping, as it seems like there must have been some delays, but man… The guys at Henry are really doing cool things with lever action design.
I'd love to see a 9 inch, mag fed 300blk lever action. I was just talking to a friend of mine 30 minutes ago about how awesome a suppressed 300blk lever gun would be. My next gun would be that if it existed
Great video Wish we could get a.300, blackout I'm already in the Henry .357 Steel side gate lever action rifle camp so hint hint Henry super quiet lever gun.
I have 5 of these, the actions are same as the browning BLR,All of mine except one are tack drivers my long ranger 243 for some reason will not make a group better than 8 inches no matter what ammo,it's currently back at Henry arms, but other than that one rifle, these guns are solid and accurate
@@thews9237 Yes,they put a new match grade barrel on it said the original should have never passed quality control, And sent a long hand written apology letter, Henry definitely earned my business from now on,they went above and beyond for me, even sent a coupon for 40% percent off my next Henry Lever action they have definitely earned my respect I placed a large order today for my gun store I will never bad mouth them,I say large order it's only 12 guns but for my little store that's a lot
I have always like the idea of the Lever Rifle, This is the first time I;'ve been to your channel but maybe just for the skit , try shoting a picture out on the lines!
I got a 20inch PSA 1/7 with intentions of close deer hunting with heavy loads, sucky/sort of thing is it prints best with m855. Half-to3/4inch groups at 100yards. 20 different loads of all grn and it loves the stuff I can't shoot deer with. The second best Barns 62grn tsx is great 3/4-1inch but not the heavy I had planned. Go figure. Side note- it will not chamber sergeant major ammo , instant jam no fire and mortor. .556 chamber supposably, all my other guns love it?
@@woodrowcall3158 it's great, have taken 100 hogs and 2 deer so far with it, I was mostly complaining that my deer gun wants to be a defense rifle, well so be it. Now my latest jam is 6.5 grendel. Awesome so far, but no meat yet. Barnes 115 ttsx groups amazing, fingers crossed.
I have never seen a henry long ranger in anything but 6.5 creedmoor. Much less the 16 inch barrel .308 or 5.56. I look all the time at cabelas and other places
