This music puts you in a place that no other music can put you in. As the memories come rushing back it makes your heart tingle. Suddenly you feel like all your friends from those times are close enough to touch. The memories are more precious than gold.

I servise the Corona virus. And I am having a blast with this beautiful music. On this beautiful and sunny Monday morning. Stay safe everyone from the pestilence of the darkness of the world. And enjoy the beautiful music! Have fun, I love you all.
The amount of sound systems that run this riddim in the 80s is unreal. So many tapes with DJs and singers riding the riddim. Classic Heptones on Top at Studio One.
I can remember when the we as young rasta's, fell in love with the punk rockers sene, and embraced their vibes, their culture, the music, The Stranglers, Blondie, Generation X, The Selecter, The Skids, Motors, The Rich Kids, New Model Army and so many more
Oldies but goodies I really appreciate my culture my country Jamaica 🇯🇲 Jamaica 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 Jamaica to the world 🌎 👌love 💘 ♥ ❤..
Two years ago I left my life and abandoned all possessions. Traveling the western US mountain states I had become in love with geography. Continuing my infatuation with the earth, I succumbed to the carribean. Four years of romance, parrots, palms and reptiles soothed my mind. It was there.. the end of all I learned to love.. most importantly live. Bless all creatures... Love Joshua
Wish I could drop all my possessions and travel to west indies and just relax. I've left it too late, but in my dreams the music soothes me, and I go to my sweet place , in the sun, on the beach, hearing the waves crashing on the sand. Boy do I dream with a spliff and some good old tunes , lovers rock. Aww
I never got to experience those days, but I hear my father talk about those days all the time. God bless the good people that are still here with us today.
these tunes heptones on top album and heptones gonna fight or something like that ..break my heart... this is my fathers favorite group...a wonderful jamaican from spanish town road kingston...and these tunes took me back to my childhood , and i actually love this reggae. when my dad was big and strong. and we loved and made happy house amongst racist britain.
This song always took me to a special place chillin on the beach in jamaica in the 80s a red stripe in one hand a duchie in the other with a fine jamaican sista next to me the heptones took my mind off bs in the 80s
This is big people thing grooving with your special lady and enjoying life play it again, pull it up slecta, irie vibes red stripe, jerk chicken, curry goat wid white rice 😁💃🕺
I used to have this Yellowman and Fathead Tape with Yello MCing over this track with the harmony. it was a rare album live. Miss that. This is Supberb melodies. Big Up
We're having a party tonight Where everything will be alright Come on, come on everyone It's time that we should have some fun We've got to live some life Before we're old We've got to live some life And before we're cold Time is short, so hear me man, Let's live the life the best we can Don't try to work your soul away Remember there's another day And we've got to live some life And before we're old And we've got to live some life And before we're cold We're having a party tonight Where everything will be alright So come…
A super cool 45 which is making my Bank Holiday lockdown Monday mighty mellow yellow and blissful while I sit in the garden with a nice ice cold beer - thank you for this sublime music. Peace and good vibes to everyone and cheers! (",)
One of the top tunes ever to come out of Jamaica! Small clarification: Party Time was originally released in 1968. This is the remix from the 80's, consistent with the label in the video. Some syndrums added. Not that it matters to me, and the original press of course had no version.
What? No syndrums on this here one: this is the original! You are talking about the version recorded with the Irie It's (the one that was in the movie with Roland Gift). Chat bout?!?!
@@berkslaw No, it's not the original mix. There is some extra instrumentation, but it's not as obvious as in some other remixes Coxsone released. Also slowed down, or maybe that's just this video. Heptones made two recuts in the 70s, for Phil Pratt, and famously for Lee Perry. Of course this is the original, as in the first cut, but it is NOT the original MIX. Listen for the "hand claps". Still very close to the og mix, so I might be pedantic here.
@@selecta74 Versions started in the late 60s. I work with Joe Cooper, who is a protege of Lee Scratch Perry, who started mixing for Coxsone (look Joe Copper up on RU-vid. He is not in the Lee Scratch Perry bio, PEOPLE FUNNY BOI. When the Wailers left Black Ark to go international, Joe's band, The Vikings, became the Black Ark house band). It gets tricky when it comes to remixes.
Weh you say warm and easy does it everytime in a rub a dub style. Jamaica 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲.. 🇯🇲. Come on come ♥ everyone it's time that we should have some fun.
first ive experienced lee "scratch" perry dub version from this tune. allways liked that energetic dub with the rapid kinda bouncing bongo drums running and jumping around the "party time"
