Can you name the other teams in the W (besides the Fever) that are NOT currently in the playoffs if they were to start today? Can you even name the 4 and 5 seeded team currently in the playoffs without looking it up? Nope. Yet, we all know the Fever. My take on this issue with CC is simply this question, why do people feel that if they praise another for helping to improve a situation, it would take away from others that have already been involved in that situation? I am a basketball lover since childhood, it kept me out of a lot of trouble growing up. I first became aware of CC's prowess when Iowa made the first run to the championship game when she was a junior. What some people, so called media people around the WNBA don't get is, because of her style of play and basketball IQ, she has been growing her own following for years, and when it got to the national stage that first NCAA run, it exploded exponentially! This is like a tsunami of interest that has already risen the value of the WNBA and will benefit all of these wonderful lady athletes and nobody should care what color there skin is or who they choose to sleep with, I mean really? Come on people, it's time we show some grace. I do disagree with you Julian on one thing, I don't think them trying to down play CC is going to hurt one bit, but will simply be a little blimp on overall situation as the with any Tsunami wave, its just going to continue to run its course and carry with it all participants in its path! I look forward to the day when we'll be enjoying the sport of women's basketball, because of its talent's and the excitement and fun that comes with good competition, drama and suspense. The Phoenix game was a fun game to watch, This Iowa girl withstands a tremendous amount of pressure and still is gracious to the young people who come to see her. I just meant that they appear to be more knowledgeable about their league from women's perspectives. Also not that men can't be a part or participate but that women seem to be able to navigate this stage of growth and change without being overprotective which is a lot of what I believe the narrative has been about... this is natural for most men with respect to our children or significant other... especially our girls.

If the Fever fall below Chicago in the final standings, CC probably won't win ROTY, Angel will. One doesn't need to "look" for a reason to justify it either. Furthermore, I am a Black male and I have watched hoards of videos on RU-vid by Black men and women content creators who love Caitlin Clark and defend her against her haters. Jimmy Jackson is an idiot if he compares Angel Reese to Caitlin Clark as if Angel is on Caitlin's level. There is no way in hell that any legitimate owner would or should choose Angel over Caitlin to play on his or her team. I watched a RU-vid video titled "Caitlin Clark is Below Average". "The hardest and most intensely guarded player in the history of the WNBA, even though she was drafted to the worst team in the league, but still manages to average high points per game, high rebounds per game, high assists per game, relatively high blocked shots per game, and get the most out of weak teammates and a piss-poor coach all the while packing to the gills both home and away WNBA and NBA arenas. If that is the definition of a below average professional women's basketball player, then it is obvious that whoever is rating Caitlin Clark as being below average MUST BE comparing Caitlin Clark to the BEST NBA players and not to the BEST WNBA players."
