Within the state of Oregon is a geologic area so fascinating that it goes by the name of the Diamond Craters. Hidden away in a sparsely populated part of the state is a spectacular volcano which has some of the most wide-ranging basaltic features on the entire North American continent. This video presents the story on how this geologic wonder formed, and how this active volcanic field may one day erupt again, potentially at another site within a radius of 20 miles.
