Thank you for covering this very important subject! We girls and women always wore men’s jerseys, shorts, socks, shinguards and boots and goalie gloves because there were no other options. But it never occurred to me that it would be necessary to make these items specifically for women’s bodies. We have to keep in mind that wearing shirts very baggy and loose was the norm for a generation for men and women footballers. Thank you for the video!
The women in MMA should speak up about this especially in the UFC, more than once fighters have lost because they had to adjust their top during a fight
@@greennumberthree American football, football, basketball, hockey. All those sports have certain amounts of violence and risk of injury in it. If you don't like it that's fine. I believe two consenting adults engaging in a fight under a reasonable ruleset is a sport.
Hello Athletic Intrest! I'm a man but this video is very refreshing and mind-blowing! I am looking to work in women's football since it is underrated and has a lot of potential in my country as well! These insights would help to cater them better in the future(near future)! Appreciate your research and presentation skills 👏👏👏
Eye opening video. As a man, I feel this is very educational and well researched. Gave good insights in a topic I didn't have even wondered about. Great content.
This is a great video about a topic I’d never considered. I’d always thought that with a bit more money generally women’s football, and sport generally could improve using the knowledge from the men’s side. It’s been really eye opening the past couple of months to learn how different women’s bodies are in terms of sport. And how little research has really gone into it until now. Then again, women’s “pro” football teams didn’t usually have specialised goalkeeping coaches until recently either. So it shows just how far behind the development of the game is. It’s also cool to see how much better the standard gets every World Cup cycle. 😊
While tearing off a shirt is a common celebration among male footballers, doing so will result in a yellow card for excessive goal celebration. It's FIFA's rule 12. Although your video did not talk specifically on the topic, since you alluded to it, I wanted to clarify for the viewers. Great and informative video on the topic of sports bras
my fiance always searching for the right sport bra, n I always think "ugh woman, juz use a normal bra" but never say it out loud, but after seeing this video, I understand how important it is, thank u for the info, I'm subscribing
As a caring fiance, you should have all the data at your fingertips to advise a specialist in designing a perfectly fitting bra with the correct degree of control for any activity.
I like how it was not obvious for experts. I am a man and it is still obvious that running and some types of physical activities sucks for women, especially if they are gifted up there. And good sport bras helps a lot with it.
Sports bra is the most important part of women physical activity. Just 5 years ago in my county we women wear all mens stuff. Men shaped jersey, half pant and all. We wear normal zero support bra on that time for running , badminton, football kind of stuff. That it still not changed Still I went India to purchase refill support running sports bra! Another country. Pay extra price!!!! Just 6 month ago one Puma Saties are Open here for the 1st time. Still those items are super expensive. But now Atleast we don’t go another country to buy it or our friend send it to us. And now in market we started to find women jersey. Our shape and sizes. So here things started to change in my country. But still women sports bra is not available in the urban and villages for teenage girls and super expensive. Hope this will change quickly here
Thanks for this video. It's intereting how we can consume for non-exercise purposes as well, there is many more football team jerseys for women's size nowadays. Even for collections
@MrReese; 70 years ago we wore "jockstraps" to support both testicles and penis for everything from running to rugby. As horny teenagers, they gave limited control to embarassing bulges after slow dances too. Since then it seems to have become more acceptable to bounce around and take the risk.
I think that anything that helps women bridge the gap between their male counterparts needs to be talked about and well researched. We also need to talk how they perform during periods and how they comeback after child birth.
@@AdarshKumar-nj7rp in ur dreams bro i dont think womens football will ever equalize the mens salaries, men simply generate more revenue, and people will not watch the womens sport as long as the mens sport exists..
Those acl injuries are partly due to knock knees being more common in women as well. Different training perhaps van help with this, or awareness and prevention.
I had no idea that women's boots went beyond just the shape. Longer studs accommodating for their lighter weight makes so much sense, but I would've never thought of it.
Wow.... I really didn't think about it because I honestly expected that professional sports gear would be tailored to the athlete.... Back when I was doing (somewhat) competitive air rifle shooting, you could have your gun, your jacket, etc pp tailored to your needs.
Looking forward to the comment section here.... The proof will be in the pudding. If Nike, adidas etc can make enough money out of developing women's football products, they will keep doing it. If, after a few years, there are not enough amateur women footballers wearing it, and more young girls don't pick up the sport (and buy their products), then these companies will tactically withdraw their product development.
Going as far as to say that the increase in ACL injuries in women's football is due to I'll fitted kits is widely misleading, and joins up 2 studies with absolutely no correlation.
as someone with manboobs, I can confirm wearing tighter clothing makes jogging easier, also additional entertainment looking at people's faces when looking at me juggling them bobs. Also that magazine title is pretty funny. "Girls rule!" over the story how girls beating other girls. Why not just "USA rule"?
Hard to believe that a taking of their shirt would have such an effect. Most football matches are still watched by men and they almost definitely didn't search for sports bras. But yeah the media (or better said the brands that paid the media) might have made a big deal out of it and influenced woman to buy the product.
You can it influenced women to buy the product but the product works. Playing football with a sports bra is a lot less annoying than playing with a conventional maybe lacey cute bra, let alone playing without a bra (just get faded at that point) You can say their marketing has allowed them to get away with ridiculous price hikes, which is not surprising to see from Nike. Fortunately in the year 2023 there are a lot of competitors in the sports bra market
@@Tom-qb1rj yeah it's one thing when people go around saying its mostly men who watch sparts but when they say mostly men watch football I just laugh. It's not possible to hit the viewing numbers that global football does if it was mostly men; it has to be like 60-40.
In general a lot of woman wear the wrong bra size and therefore feel uncomfartable, I can only advice to visit a speciality store where they measure and maybe even adjust the bra for you. Especially with big breasts it means a huge different in quality of life I've been told. So not surprising to me that this is something sport teams should invest in.
Well its a similar problem as Penises dangling up & down while running, balls getting squeezed up between the legs, Early athletes must’ve gone through this. You must also make a video on that & its history.
humans have different bodies, differente needs. Its only fair that teams around the world invest in the right gear for their players. So yes, sports bras for women is a serious thing. Its important.
Hello Athletic Interest, can you make a video about Saudi Pro League? Like how and why are so many players like Ronaldo, Benzema, Kante, etc come to there and what's the factor and the background of Saudi clubs are desperately buy more and more top European league players. I hope you read my comment, Danke!
they're trying to expand beyond their reliance on crude oil sales since it's best to have other sources of revenue. Since they have all the money in the world, and they're trying to promote tourism, they can afford to pay a lot of money for players in an attempt to get publicity. I'm sure he'll make a video that's better researched than this comment.
Not all of the clubs in the Saudi League are owned by PIF like the MLS, only the top 4 clubs Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ittihad and Al Ahly are the ones who are spending big and bringing over European superstars for multi million dollar contracts. Also unlike Qatar, Saudi is an nation with actual footballing history being one of the powerhouses of Asia and a constantly qualifying for World Cup
The biggest problem in women's football is that men's football is better. I have tried to think about why womens tennis is so successful vs other womens sports but havent wuite figured it out. I would like to see a video on this.
That's not really the issue. Men's tennis is still better than Women's tennis. Other women's sports are still in their infancy. We're talking about sports that men have been playing for over a hundred years. Women's football in Europe was quite literally banned for a couple decades. Now they're starting to get up to speed, people are watching, and the game is growing. Same with the WNBA which seemed doomed after that 2010s generation, but the likes of Caitlyn Clark have got more people on board.
The simple fact is there is no such thing as an average person and all people need customized clothing. The problem is our belief that mass production serves us well when it doesn't. The US Air Force learned this the hard way when they realized that there was no such thing as an average pilot, and thus an average cockpit, and that every pilot, especially figher pilots needed their cockpits to be customized for them, as poor fits lead to accidents. If we all wore customized shoes who would need inserts for to avoid bunions and corns. I'm surprised that high performance sports never thought of this right from day one. You shouldn't need to be a Formula 1 driver for your clothing and other working gear to be tuned to body.
It was a full Wembley stadium and they had packed events to watch the games all over England. Not to mention the men haven't won fuck all since '66, so despite it being in women's competition, it remains England's 2nd greatest football achievement.
Did I heard it right or last year Barcelona feminino vs Real Madrid femini’s match’s attendance was 90185 world records and later that same month they also broke their own record and it was 91646 and but it’s doesn’t matter coz who cares right do some proper research man
@@PKFlex did he said watch on tv I didn’t heard that I’m pretty sure he wasn’t talking about tv audience even if he was then I’m pretty sure they had more audience watching women’s game between those two game
