We were just there and the parks need a lot of maintenance. A good refurbishment of the entire resort and a focus on better food offerings will make this an amazing resort.

I agree. Project Sparkle in 2016-2019 did WONDERS for the parks, but lately there seems to have been less maintenance which isn’t nice, as it’s better to keep on working on things to have to do it all at once! The food is still one of the weaker points of the resort, but I can confidently say that it’s better! Still a long way to go though. Nope you had a great time!

@@themainstreetnews we had a great time! Disney D-Light was amazing. I look forward to coming back in a few years to see how the resort has improved. My “home park” is Disneyland in California, which everyone has said is the gold standard Disney park, and now I feel like I have to agree. However, I have not been to any of the Asia parks to include those.

That’s amazing, Anaheim is obviously on the top of my to-visit list! Great to hear you enjoyed your time in Paris 😄 Now, serious talk, about the gold standard, while I haven’t been there, from my “research” I gotta say that Tokyo seems to be number 1 🫢. Either way, thanks for commenting 😁

Paris is on my list of Disney parks to visit. I’m glad that there is a channel that specializes in it. You should have a day that you’re willing to meet people in the park. Your own meet and greet.

I love to meet people in the parks. Unfortunately i can’t visit as many times as I wish, since flights from Lisbon to Paris are somewhat costly 🫣, but by any means, if you see me in the parks please come and say hi!

@@themainstreetnews well, I’m all the way in Arizona so maybe by the time prices go down then we can both afford it. 😄

It's not really news that Disney is cutting profits by charging for the use of its characters. That had been known for a long time. What may be a bigger problem is that most European visitors only come to Disneyland once. Because the prices are so high, the service on the other hand is very poor and you can still queue for a very long time everywhere, many visitors have great frustration after their visit. If Disney really wants to grow in Paris, they're really going to have to scale up the replay value, which they can't do by increasing admission prices and actually planting sad attractions. To date, few visitors are really satisfied with the renewal of the Studios, until now. And the Frozen attraction is very long in coming.

You make some strong points. The fact that Disney was making money through IPs and others was known but I personally had never seen actual numbers. It’s also impressive how not only these continued after the acquisition of the resort but how they actually became more expensive!

If he is as you phrased it 'selling' the land euro disney sca owns, That is quite short sighted as it only gives you money once and then means you can not expand the resort further because someone has built on your land.
@themainstreetnews
@themainstreetnews Год назад
This was the plan from the beginning, it’s why the resort suffered so much in the beginning with the housing crisis, as they needed the money from selling land to sustain EuroDisney. This way they sell the land and still maintain the standards they decide upon.
@HliarusProd
@HliarusProd Год назад
The thing is, they're not completely selling the land, as they do not own it. The land of EuroDisney is on a 99 year free lease from the French State. EuroDisney is the exclusive manager of that land, and they are able to sell developpement rights to other companies. Eerything those companies build on that land is also on a lease from EuroDisney, and ownership of buildings goes back to EuroDisney after 30 or 40 years. Disney CANNOT lose in Paris.
@themainstreetnews
@themainstreetnews Год назад
Yes, that’s right. They have the exclusive rights to the land, buy it from the government and sell it for a profit. Even so, a big chunk of the land is theirs, but they’re not selling that, for the most part.

Walt Disney Studios Park being an obligation of the agreement between the Franch State and Disney is not exactly true... They indeed had to built a 2nd park, but not this early. Deadline was 2012.

If they were making money out of Paris all those years, they really took a risk by using the money to buy back all of the assets and not using it for new rides which would make the parks better… I mean… space mountains still is the last big attraction they’ve added Also I don’t get why they spend 5 billion dollars on Tron in Magic kingdom, the ride isn’t that amazing, looks cool, but not worth 5 billion, this may looks off-topic maybe but, but if only half of that money was spend on the Disneyland Paris parc, it would have payed out better than it did now

What Disneyland Paris concerns, i'll believe it when i see it........They need the parks to seriously increase on QUALITY attractions/ upkeep and creativity. The Studios park is seriously underwhelming and Marvel Campus did nothing to improve that. Redecorating a not that great Aerosmith imitation of the way better space Mountain? Getting a copy of a not great received Spiderman riding shootup.....uhm, don't they already have Buzz lightyear? So far Ratatouille has been the sole exception....Disney can and should do better. And give better value for money.

idk what to think about the investment, it is nice that they are investing but the investments looks just meh

The only real investments so far has been Avengers Campus and the project Sparkle. While AC might not be everyone’s favourite land, it sure is a good sign for the future of WDS!

Excited to see the new investment in studios in future, although think the disneyland Park also needs a few more e ticket attractions as buzz lightyear was last ride in there

Oh yeah, 100% agree with you. The last real expansion of that park was in 1995 with Space Mountain 🤯. The rumours do indicate that something new might be in the works… we’ll see!
