I had an interesting middle school career...
Obviously this video was more satire than actual seriousness (tho nothing in this video is a lie lemme be clear). So don't take anything in it too seriously, thx. Sub' and like this video for 3 billion years worth of luck or something.

A FOREIGN PERSPECTIVE I attended high school at a country school in southern Brazil, in a very small town where i still live (Capão do Leão, Rio Grande so Sul). The south of Brazil is extremely diverse; in my city alone there are traditional mixed-race Brazilians, German, Italian, ucranian and Polish settlers, gauchos (basically the most macho guys in the Americas), various religious/cultural groups (including pagans), native american villages, quilombos (small villages of descendants of runaway slaves). And I was a nerd in the only middle/high school in my town! You can imagine how magical my adolescence was! Comparing my middle school with those in the US always fascinates me. It's such a practical and vivid example of how different our cultures are. There are absolutely none of these hierarchies and stereotypes around here. Obviously each individual has their social limitations; nerds and popular kids will always exist. But it was amazing how easy it was to move between the different groups without losing your identity. The different factions where more divided between social, racial or cultural characteristics, and not tradicional school steriotypes and they were so different that basically don't communicated with each other; which allowed each faction to develop its own hierarchy. Obviously this created more conflict between the most popular members of each faction, but created a much more peaceful and free environment for the majority of the kids, for allowing us to interact with other groups like "tourists", crafting an image of novelty and climbing the social steps.

I am from Russia muself. And to be honest i was always interested, are americans really that stupid like they are shown in american films? (No offensives) Here, in Russia, we dont have hierarchy or something like that, even in schools. I would say, it is more like groups of 3-10 peoples, having their own stuff, and if there is some bullying to kids, it is being done by whole class, and probably deservedly, i haven't seen someone bullying other kid only for fun. Also it is interesting how different are our cultures P. S. Sorry for my bad english

It varies from school to school. Richer areas tend to be much more snobby than rural/poorer areas

@@elmosanchez i didn't get what you meant in "snobby". I didn't see someone trying to imitate "popular kids" because we just didn't have any castal system here, in any school, poor or rich. It is not luke pyramid, but something like long long brick, with many groups of people, of course there are "popular" and "unpopular" kids, like you like to say in America, but it is not a taboo, everyone just don't care about other, cos as you might know, we have funny things happening in our country, so people obsessed with other things in their lifes

I've actually came up with a way to move up the cast, if you want to move up the ladder, reinvent yourself next year, if you want to lower yourself in the ladder, do some weird shit

I would say that this is fairly accurate. I would say you were lucky to get out during middle school. Mine was easy to drop into lower caste. In fact it was the upper caste's favorite pass time. Changing schools can be very beneficial. It can put bottom caste kids right on top.

My school had 2 class of nerds and geek the unpopular nerds and geeks and the popular needs and geek so yeah we had the regular nerd groups and a set or nerd that were more popular and weren't bullyed and were well respected and I happened to somehow be in both at the exact same time.

@@elmosanchez but all of the other classes you mentioned existed as well but the more popular nerd group resolved in highschool into either becoming somewhat popular or a nerd.

The easiest way to move up is to glow up! As a guy, get taller or shredded. As a girl, grow boobs 😂 I was at the bottom but eventually landed in the middle from fighting as people would hear about it and generally not bother me lmao
