I wanted to make sure to cover jalter given her banner for Nerofest on NA! Jalter has always had some amazing crit capacity but draws a lot of comparisons with Erice Avenger and Taira nowadays. She still has the synergy with the buster system to her advantage and having personally used her myself in all sorts of challenge scenarios, can attest to her capability. I might not use her as much now but when things were still run by DW, they had this crazy addiction to extreme np dmg resistance in everything. She along with hans and nightingale with star bombs made those fights obsolete before Merlin. She has such a soft spot in my heart aside from her VA cause of her being my challenge quest killer as a noob.

Jalter was my first NP5 5* and still one of my favorites. With her any ruler or berserker boss is an inevitable afterthought.

It would be cool to see self modification upgraded to something like "self modification: dragon" where she gets more absorption and maybe apply dragon trait to self for a turn. Would it be over kill? Maybe. Would it be fun? Absolutely. Plus shes got an appearance in fsr soon so a buff is possible

Jalter was my first GSSR (2020). I genuinely continued playing only because the stars lined up for me on my main account with Mordred, then Achilles, then Napoleon, and then Jalter all answering my summons when I was just starting out. Ironically, Jeanne and Jalter were summoned almost exactly 1 year apart, and once I transitioned from Jeanne's turtle comp into Jalter's burst comp, she's been a staple for my boss killing teams ever since. With the addition of Oberon, who has yet to pair up with the angry woman, I can't wait to throw them together into "battles" fueled by sheer vice and vitriol 😂

With My Clairyovance Ex Skill I know that she'll get an buff to her mana burst in Ordeal Call 2 along with her Animation update.(Huffing copium aggressively)

Mash. Merlin, Jalter is the team that facerolled Solomon Singularity for me. And that was before I had the chance to max out her skills and stats. These days, with 2k+ on both Att and HP, Grailed to 100 and at NP4... any time I can take her somewhere it is hilarious how fast enemies melt out of existence. If I ever Grail any servant to 120 it will likely be her. And with this banner I am tempted to try and make her my first ever 5Star NP5. EDIT: I forgot but then another comment reminded me. Jalter was also my first Bond 10 unit, followed shortly by Santa Salter (but that one was no surprise given how much farming work she's done for me). It's safe to say I really like Jalter a lot. I think I'll make her my first lvl.100+ after I'm done farming Nerofest. I have 80 coins left after unlocking all her Appends. Is there another use for those - I can't remember.

Jalter was my first ever SSR back when I was in Orleans and she helped me get through the early game through the singularities and has been useful even in the lostbelts. I used Jalter and Taira to Absolutely destroy Zeus in lostbelt 5.2 and with the GSSR Taira is np2 But Jalter hits pretty freaking hard even with a np2 taira

Jalter was once my favourite character in the game. I used her all the time. She was the first SSR I ever grailed and the first servant I fou'd to 2000/2000. However, she's been power crept to the point that I hardly use her any more. I love the character but she needs a buff or an animation update. Something.

she carried me so hard early years of fgo. slap her in with merlin and waver. I always have respect for her even tho her kit is a bit dated. She is like one or two good buffs away to be top tier again imo. I remember back then a grailed Jalter can muscle anything down

I found the 'Like a Bird' craft essence from the imaginary scramble event really good for her since it fuels her crits massively

I have just enough to pity her for my first NP5 5*. It's been a long 6 years, but I managed to pull her once on I think most of her banners. Got fucked on every single GSSR. Still not lvl120. I gave her 1 healing card, 1 NP gen, 1 debuff removal and 2 dmg boost cards. I wanted to roll on Merlin this last banner but was saving for Koyanskya/Oberon and then planned to save for Arcuied NP2 next year. So this banner is unexpected.

Oh man I remembered the Save for Jalter days, and people raging and quitting because they didn’t got her.

Jalter is an old unity of mine, one of my first SSRs, and she is a unity that aways surprises me because i keep hearing people saying that she is bad now and yadda, yadda, yadda, and on a subconcient level i start to agree with that without no real motive besides going with the pack. Tthen i use her in a challenge quest or a story boss fight just for the old times, and she just destroys them and in the end i´m in a state of awe like "holy shit she really did that fuck ton of damage like it was nothing? wasn´t she supposed to be bad?"

NP5 LV120 Jalter support always did funny buster card damages with my Merlin.

Finally got her to NP5 on JP, I also got Medb Saber on NP5 too since she kept showing up, I have Jalter on 100 atm but Im gonna grail her further to 120 soon. A bit situational but her squishiness turns her into a real monster when you pair her with Aesc's Charisma.

"Jalter is a crit centric unit." Ahh, the good old days of running Jalter, Cursed Arm and Waver as a comp to ensure that Jalter could get all the stars and the crit buffs to ensure she murderates bosses. Would love to see her first skill get updated to not only give her a higher star absorption rate, but to also be a star bomb. Would allow her to regain her throne. Edit - one CE that I think is probably worth mentioning for going the crit route on Jalter is Conversation on the Hot Sand. It boosts Crit Star Gather Rate by 600%, which combos fairly nicely with her own 800% buff, and also boosts Crit Damage by 25%, once again stacking very nicely with her own 50% buff and 10% passive. Pair her with a couple units that can generate crit bombs regularly, such as Vitch, and she becomes a face card murder machine. It also has pure attack scaling, maxing out at 2k attack, which once again plays into all of her strengths.

I think I got my first Victor of the Moon this year, bad luck rolling it. I've been using MLB Joint Recital for most challenge quests.

If Summer 6 was not right around the corner (and Okitan is going to be my first looping Saber and Summer Kama is peak), I would likely go in on this. I already have her np2, though, so that will probably do for now.

I absolutely loved her when I borrowed her from a friend to do ember gathering back in 2018 (NA), and managed to get my very own copy in October of that year. She carried me in loads of fights and it was always fun to see what number would pop up after an NP of hers. I finally got her to 120 with this lotto event which I used as my catalyst to get her to NP5 with this surprise banner :) I agree with all of your takes in this video, especially that I'd rather have koyan + merlin for supports rather than koyan + oberon. Merlin adds survivability and stars (along with even more burst crit damage), and that can really make the difference in jalter's performance. Putting the jeanne command code that heals 1000 also helps counteract the demerit on her third skill. Overall, she's a super fun servant to use, and can really come in clutch against a pesky ruler boss fight.

started to play 2 weeks ago and got her within my 44 summon tickets and im very happy. no need to fuel my 330 SQ here and can save up for melusine or koyan for their next banner

She was my first SSR and she's always at the back of my party in case my front row get nuked and definitely saved me when I fought Zeus which she survived on 39 HP and managed to Crit Zeus into oblivion on his final HP bar. Despite me not using her a lot now a days, she's still a powerful unit for my box and she has a soft spot in my heart because of being part of my Original Squad from when I started playing and saving me from close calls before I got Castoria and other units.

My Jalter is lvl 112... just need more grails. :3 Also this seems like a bad time to put up a Jalter banner after the madness of LB6.

I came back to play after years because of her, I rerolled her and got Jeanne ruler on the SSR ticket. At the moment I'm sad because I finished Shinjuku and found out that I lost her costume key. And gods pls give Kaleido!

I run a Lv 120 19K damage Jalter. With some specific command cards for health and crit gathering/star gen and a 2K damage up craft essence (Aerial Drive) she tears through even Moon Cancers. Needless to say I run her in nearly every team and 17K health isn't bad either. She was my first SSR and I've got her at bond 14 atm. Only 3 months until she is bond 15. Now with Koyan she's an absolute monster with her crit damage. Didn't know that Black Grail and Victor of the Moon scaled to 2.4K damage though... might have to do some cheeky levelling of those to get some more raw damage.

First of all: This is one of the best servants in the game (and I'm not saying that because of a saberface bias which I don't have, she legitimately is one of the best). Khad is right when he said that Jeanne alter is crit centric. This servant deals HER MOST damage when she gets crit stars lined up on her buster cards. The problem is people are too drunk on the idea of using np with everyone that they forget about crit damage in general, and so write off these servants as bad because they don't understand crit well. This is exactly why I put level 100 Starry Nights on my Jeanne as well as two CCs on her buster cards (25% and 20% crit for buster) because her secret is in her buster crits. (I don't have Victor of the moon MLB, Starry Nights is 15% buster, 15% crit, and 50% np charge). I even np5'd her, level 120, full gold fou'd, paw'd her, appended her skills to level 10, everything because her damage is THAT good. To put this into perspective: My jeanne gets a 20% attack buff on skill (Type 1); gets [15% on CE + 50% on skill] = 65% buster buff (Type 2); gets [50% on skill + 10% passive +15% on CE + 25% on CC] = 100% crit buff (Type 3); and [gets 2000 + 500 on Card] = +2500 base attack up (Type 4) ALL ON HER OWN! And keep in mind, These are ALL FOUR damage types which means they all multiply with each other! Even by today's standards, that's insane utility!!! Not to mention she has the HIGHEST attack (or competing for it at least) in the game. The only thing she really needs is some protection to last and some crit stars (EASILY remedied as there are numerous servants in the game that can provide that). Extra attack buffs are just bonus, but most of the time, she doesn't need any more. Her np is, pretty much, better used to buff block an enemy to prevent them from shielding or getting evasion/invinc making them unkillable. This is especially good when you break bar an enemy so they can't get their bar break buffs. I've even broken enemies' bar with ONE buster crit (something even np1 Jeanne alters can do). Wait until she gets stars on her buster cards and then attack. She'll get the job done anytime (unless gimmicks are involved, then it depends). Another complaint I hear about all the time is "she doesn't have class advantage against anything except rulers." Let me tell you something about Jeanne: She doesn't f*g care. A good Jeanne will destroy them regardless. Her damage is so high, it almost doesn't matter. I've hardly ever worried about class advantage (unless it is a mooncancer).

As someone who gave her a lv100 Victor of the moon and all the %20 crit buff command codes I can honestly say she so much fun

Man. I remember when I first started the game and a lot of guides featured some mention or other of "grab a friend support Jalter and crit it to death." It's weird how she's never been dethroned from having the game's highest atk stat, but that's mattered less and less as time went on--and in fact probably contributed to her stagnation.

Yeah man, Jalter's crit (especially when properlly buffed) give me life. She is in league with Super Orion for me, but with a offensive NP that has been buffed....love that girl. She needs a Animation update thou. A shame those don't exist no more.

as a Jalter fan, her Buster crits can match and even outdo her NP damage even AFTER her Interlude with the right support, like with Koyanskaya+Merlin while on VotM. Also, having 21417 max attack when fully built/grailed to 120 while running VotM is absurd.

She's one of the reasons I got into the game, but I already have one copy and summer is around the corner so np2 will have to wait quite a while. Not to mention the planned in the far future np5 castoria and morgan + the brutality that is the year 2025...

I only summoned her last year and by that time she's sitting comfortably in my chaldea

I’m going to talk exclusively from a gameplay perspective about Jalter because if I don’t, I’ll be here all day and never get this comment posted. Jalter is the unit you go to when you need a really big stick, because no stick is bigger than hers. She is almost seamless as far as her play style is concerned: put buffs on her, give her stars, keep her health topped off by whatever means you have. There’s no niches you have to keep track of, no gimmicks, just pure, raw damage. Some may say that’s not exactly a good thing in today’s meta, but I disagree. I see Buster cards, that enemy is (probably) dead. Speaking as someone who has maxed Jalter in every way currently available in the game (Lv 120, NP5, Gold Fou’s, Command cards enhanced, and all of the Command Codes we’ve gotten that give 20% Crit damage or more), I know I can take her anywhere that calls for one enemy needing to go. I even used her to farm eggs back in LB4 because she was (and still is) my most powerful single target nuker. That said, she obviously needs support, but in a game like FGO, who doesn’t? (Solo units do not interact) Merlin and Waver have always been my go-to’s, but Douman and Koyanskaya are also great in FGO’s current blitz meta. I’ve had moments where Jalter’s Buster crits actually did more damage than her NP, or had an NP-Arts-Arts Crit brave chain get her back - or near back - to her NP. I still hate that I never got the chance to get Holy Night Supper (I started playing after the rerun), as the one thing she’s missing out of her kit is an NP damage buff to get all of her bases covered. I make do with Victor of the Moon, but I’m always going to wonder how much damage I’m missing out on. My final comment is going to be in regards to her third skill - I actually quite like the Buster buff and invuln being on the same skill. Sometimes the boosted damage is what pushes her to an enemies break bar, and that’s when I need the protection anyway. It’s not a bad skill, in my opinion, but it is situational.

As someone who got into FGO because of Jalter, and is a HUGE Jalter simp, it hurts a little to say, but she's kinda carried by her ATK stat. She still does the work, heck I've been using her for a couple of the Grand Nero Fest Exhibition Quests, and she's been doing perfectly fine. Unfortunately, we're starting to enter a era where " perfectly fine " is starting to become " a bit underwhelming ". I think it's high time they stated giving her some skill buffs. And they don't even need to be crazy broken buffs or anything, just some moderate upgrades would go a long way on her. For her First skill, it needs 3 things: first, add on to it, that it gens like 10-15 stars per turn for three turns. That way if you are struggling to fire off her NP a bunch, or don't have a bunch of Supports that can constantly provide all the stars you could need, you can still get SOMETHING to get her going. Second: bump up the Star absorb from 800%, to something like 3000%. Again, if you can't bomb 50 stars every turn, then she needs just a bit more. Third: they could ether add another new effect, or bump up the Crit damage from 50% to 100%. Personally, I kinda go back and forth on if the 100% Crit damage is in the realm of " too strong " or not. If they go with another effect it would probably be a small 3 turn damage steroid, like 20% NP damage, or ( something I saw someone else in the comments say ) giving her the Dragon Trait for three turns to synergize with her Second skill. For her Second skill: this one's pretty simple, a 3 turn Damage Mod. The obvious choice would be ether Good or Lawful. While I could see them doing 2 Damage Mods of 30%, so she can hit both. I think doing one or the other at ether 30% or 50% would be plenty. The Third skill is a bit trickier: the first thing they need to do with it is remove the Demerit. There is ABSOLUTLY NO REASON for this skill to a demerit anymore. As for actually buffing the skill, there's a couple ways it could go. Making the Buster up 50% for 3 turns sounds a bit too strong for someone like her, but at the same time, I HATE when they do 3 time over 3 turns. I'd rather it be over powered then have a dumb limitation. But one cool thing I think they could do instead, is to add a further 20% Buster up for 3 turns. That way you have one turn where it's CRAZY HIGH, but then after that you still have a little bump up for a couple turns. I also like this idea cause OG Jeanne kinda has the reverse of this effect. Her ( I think ) Second skill, lowers an enemies DEF for 1 turn, but then further lowers it for 3 turns. So giving Jalter a kind of Inverted effect, would fit REALLY well thematically. Beyond all that, I do think they would probably give the skill another effect, maybe something like 20% NP gain up, or 1 or 3 turns of Pierce Invincibility. Or maybe even making her Buster Cards ( including NP ) refund like 5% or 10% NP. It's really hard to say. Overall she's a wonderful unit, but she needs more love from the Devs. Depending on how my Raikou/Battle Olympia rolls go later tonight, I'm most likely gonna be rolling for my 5th copy of Jalter tonight! wish me luck.

I try to collect as many avengers as I can, and Jalter may be the lowest bond of my avengers, but she's my single target monster when the enemy lacks divinity and sky attribute. She'll always have a special place in my heart after nobu for simply slapping QSH with a 200k crit

Jalter is a very odd case for me on one hand I don't personally care much for her. I don't care that she's an avenger, I don't care that she's an edgy Jeanne and I DEFINITELY never cared much for her as a unit. which is odd because I have ALWAYS been a buster simp since I started playing the game. I don't hate arts, and I don't hate quick. I just prefer bashing my face into the bug red button and Jalter should be one of those bug red buttons but I just don't care for her. however, on the other hand, she was and is basically the face of FGO for me. now this might sound weird since Artoria's face is literally the game's icon but I started playing during the first Da Vinci event and Jalter, during that time, *WAS THE ABSOLUTE SH1T* . EVERYONE wanted this woman. players who have been playing since launch have hoarded they're SQs for her, newer players decided to spend money for the first time just to get her. SHE WAS EVERYWHERE! and even years later when servants like Merlin, Skadi, Castoria and whoever the faq came, I STILL consider Jalter as FGO's poster girl. she's no longer that if the 8th anniversary is anything to go by, obviously but whenever I think about FGO as FGO, Jalter is always gonna be the first thing that pops inside my head. it's weird, I know. because 5 years or playing later, I STILL don't have any interest in rolling for her.

I finally pulled her after just throwing a few Summon Tickets at her banner! What I'm not happy about is that her Shinjuku outfit isn't available in the Dress Making node in the shop. Apparently I didn't get the Wardrobe Key during the Da Vinci 7 Counterfeit Spirits event. I guess NA has to wait a year or so.

I've both Grailed her to 110 and 2k/2k fou'd her, but on top of that i decided to go with the 5 star command code with Jean on it, that give a 1k heal every 3 turns; I've found it realllly helps her keep up durability and totally negate her skill 3 demerit~
