comments on just some of the countries: Albania: still can't believe Barbie was that low Armenia: Queen of getting solid JESC results, nothing ever outside of the top 10 in their long participation history Belgium: How the crap did Anders get soooo freaking underrated Bulgaria: well deserved for Planet of the Children, firmly believe that would've won if she wasn't battling that vocal cold ugh Cyprus: seems like it was always an underrated country in JESC France: the other queen of getting solid JESC results, I think they have the best average track record to this point (although ofc they haven't been in as long as Armenia) Georgia: with such a far reaching history of course there will be hits and misses (but whyyyyyy and howwwww was Over the Sky a miss?!) Greece: the lowest place is a mess, and the only song that shouldn't have been in JESC outright (I don't say this lightly in a kids contest but there are rumors parents of the group's members bought their way in) Kazakhstan: with their largely solid track record here I'm surprised they haven't had an adult ESC invite yet Malta: they gradually built steam, they hit golden years in '13-'15 and then they fell and they just didn't get that momentum back Netherlands: again with such a long standing participation they've seen both the hits and unfortunate placement misses. They should have had at least one more win by this point IMO (Teenager) N. Macedonia: oh wow Fire wasn't better than Prati Mi SMS placement wise? Wow San Marino: also was pretty consistently underrated Slovenia: kinda surprised they didn't compete more? Prva Lubezen was perfection Spain: can we get a "20 years later encore" performance this year from the iconic Maria Isabel??? Please??? Wales: poor Wales 😢 they had potential but just couldn't find the formula
