My dad was in the Vietnam war. He was in the Navy; Later he became a truck driver and had me. I listened to this song when I was 3 or 4 inside his 18 wheeler.... I miss him so much... This song will always be in my heart.

It's definitely a great song but it actually has the opposite effect on me, when I usually hear this song I start to hunt players with bounties on their head. Just driving around at high speeds in my dukes of death, I don't like to use the Mark II because that would be too easy and I like to give the Bounty an opportunity to fight back

I’m not even really a country music fan but this is badass. I can’t believe this isn’t played on every kind of radio station like, say, Paint in Black by The Rolling Stones, Paranoid by Black Sabbath, etc. It’s 1 of those rare songs that is all of the badassness you can cram in 3 minutes.

Some may disagree, but THE 2 best "Super" music groups comprised of some truly amazing Legends in the last half century is without a doubt "The Highwaymen" in addition to the "Traveling Wilburys", as music may never witness the likes of such folklore talent coming together to comprise some phenomenal riffs to last a few millennia which those two groups bestowed to the world & music industry, as this classic track is four decades young next year.
