Kris recently retired at 84. I respect it. He reached the end of his road. Willie is still riding strong at 90, and I don’t see him stopping anytime soon. Cash, Waylon, you are missed very dearly.

Kris Kris still has youngish kids, and I believe that he still lives in Hawaii.....As to Willie, I believe if he ever retires he might go up to the spirit in the sky; Willie needs to keep touring.

Back in 1990, I was 11, and being European did not give a flying fuck about country. Today, I can appreciate their awesomeness, I am a fan. I just hope that Americans will take a look at the outside world and be a part of securing heathcare for everyone and fighting climate change. We need you guys to be awesome!

I was a corporate pilot for most of my life and I played this song on the aircrafts radio, 8-track, cassette, cd and finally digital download, before nearly every flight. Never got tired of it. Just meant so much to me. Change a few words around and it works. Like a band of Gypsies we go down the skyways, not highways, and such. Miss those days of flying. Now retired !!

❤❤❤i was 18 in 1990. My sister was 31. She LOVED Waylon...I loved his singing, especially Dukes, but now...at 51,in 2024..oh heck yeah i see it. But absolutely loved watching all the Highwaymen footage ❤Absolutely amazing legends all of them ❤

Yeah, i guess so too, but take a look at the movie instead. They did miss a couple of songs in this streak of uploads, and seeing the whole concert is just another sensation. Magic. It's available on Amazon, Google Play, Microsoft etc. Also, in the ending of the movie there are some very unique interviews with the four which i dont think they will upload here :(

Imagine seeing four big stars on stage like that for an entire tour , that would never hsppen today . They were a super group b4 there were super groups . The hit songs between the 4 of them , the way each changed music forever , and the way they worked together. We will never see that again !!!!!! And i bet the tickets were very reasonable priced . It would be like watching 4 concert performances in one . Im sorry i missed it . My fater was a big fan of all of them especially Johnny Cash and Willie but also a fan of Kris and Walon . We will never see something like this again .

I had a chance to work sound and lighting for Johnny but a snow storm stopped that. They were 4 of the best. Kris just retired so the only one left is Willy. If you want to see Kris in a movie watch the movie Convoy he is the Rubber Duck.

My first exposure to this song was at an old tutoring center. It would play on the :50 mark of every hour. Such a perfectly chosen song by Joe, the man running the place. This is the song of my freedom. Our country would do good by its students replacing all school bells with this anthem.
