In 2021, a Dharam Sansad (religious conference) was organised in the holy city of Haridwar, where several religious leaders openly called for violence against Muslims. These leaders were arrested and later released on bail. We travelled to this holy city to meet a small group of Hindu priests who are trying to counter this hateful narrative and raise awareness around how politics is being peddled in the guise of religion.
