I hope the rumors of a more savage Hulk personality appearing in She Hulk is true because it would be cool to see Emil beat Banner to the point Bruce let’s Hulk take control and we see Hulk unleash hell like never before Edit (10/16/22): well, sadly Savage Hulk didn’t come back and tbh I’m not a fan of how Emil was portrayed but by the looks of things, his involvement in the MCU is far from over

The Abomination is an underrated antagonist His fights with Hulk are fun to watch The fight from the 2008 Hulk movie is still one cool fight to watch

I’m still to this day sad we never got to see more of edward norton’s hulk. I feel like Mark ruffalo’s hulk was treated too much as a joke compared to this hulk which was actually scary and badass and the character himself felt much more in depth. I can’t take ruffalo’s hulk seriously tbh

Great video, Garrick! Always love a bit of Hulk lore, no matter the universe. Abomination definitely had one of the best fight scenes and original designs of the MCU but now his re-design is even better, sort of ending up in a spot between his original MCU and comic variations. I have no doubt that we’ll see Abomination in She-Hulk and that after reading some classic Hulk comics, that hulk would most definitely would still be able to fight him should they choose to pick issues to adapt from.

Garrick would you say Blonsky is comparable in strength, speed, and skill to the other MCU super soliders/enhanced humans like Rogers, Ta'Challa, Bucky, and Walker? In the official MCU guidebook from 2017 Emil is stated to have superhuman strength and speed. On Vs Battle Wiki his feat of getting hit by 2 Stark Sonic cannons were calced at building level+ which is actually higher than what they calced for Captain America throwing Ultron in the concrete pillar which is at high small building level. He's also shown to have a better healing factor than Steve since in Winter Solider it took him a few days to heal after he got shot by Bucky, while Blonsky's body was completely destroyed and he was fully recovered a few hours later.

I hope this next Spider-Man movie, not only introduces the other Spider-Man, but could also bring back Norton's hulk. I just don't like the MCU hulk. He's treated like a joke, norton's hulk was treated a badass monster

I want Abomination to be scary like the way they made I hope they don’t tone him down. I was amazed at how big he was he was 12 ft and I think he’s probably bigger now around 16 feet which is unreal. Hulk is a savage character and a tragic one, u can’t tone him down

Abomination will return in the She-Hulk series, and Tim Roth will reprise the role. On a side note, I would also be interested to see Tim Blake Nelson return as Samuel Sterns/The Leader.

I like how they got more of his looks into Shang-Chi. Say what you want about villains mirroring the hero, I love them, and Abomination is no exception.

Him and the Green Goblin in No Way Home are two of the best MCU balance because of the fact that their goals are very straightforward. The only thing that makes Emil better is the fact that his goal is only ever explained in one sane, and that's just enough. We need to go back to film villains like them. Also: You know there can be no explanation made whatsoever by anybody as to why Emil has a radically different design in Shang. Further proof the MCU cares very little about continuity

He didn’t speak in Shang Chi, only grunts. And he also got knocked out with one punch from himself which makes no sense since he rumbles with the Hulk. I’m not sure I like how the character is currently being portrayed, but his new comic accurate looks is definitely a W.

Apparently Abomination was supposed to be in the opening action sequence of Avengers Age of Ultron to get defeated by the Hulk again but was cut out. My theory was that he was supposed to be used by Von Strucker to defend himself and his Hydra base and that this was because he was freed after the Hydra inside SHIELD twist in Captain America The Winter Soldier and that some Hydra agents busted him out (similar to how Grant Ward and John Garrett broke Marcus Daniels AKA Blackout and a bunch of other prisoners out of SHIELD in AOS Season 1 towards the end)

Should've kept Abomination's 2008 design

The reason why Nick Fury did not want Abomination on the Avengers Team because Emil Blonsky Threatened Nick Fury with a Gun and took his $1500 at a Cafe (Pulp Fiction reference)

The MCU was incomplete for me without Rhulk and the rest of the hulks. You cannot say that after the success of the first movie they did not have the budget or initiative to do more than they did and spend a little extra effort and budget on having Red Hulk, in fact, Civil War was the perfect time for it and they just let it slip by. No Rhulk, no She Hulk...😣 They have been so successful and made so much money...they could have and should have done it.

Besides Loki and Justin Hammer, I'd say he was the best/most memorable villain of Phase 1. He was menacing and powerful, with one of the best 1v1 fights in the MCU, he looked cool and is still alive, which could lead to some intense fights later.

TLDR: he basically a western version of Eren Yeager(AOT)

I like how he brings up the part when the abomination fights the hulk because that was my favorite part in the Incredible hulk movie.

They pulled a MCU hulk on abomination in Shang Chi. 13 years without abomination just for that... They straight made him weak, easy to take down, and dumb. Only grunts too?? No talking?? Let alone in just 1 minute. Abomination was cool because he still had the full mindset of his normal personality, and that dramatically amplified everything about what made him terrifying. He was a military/government trained fighter. Unlike Bruce banner who has no idea how to fight, which is what made him worthless as professor hulk. Thanos would have smashed him if they had a rematch while professor hulk.

Marvelous video. In fact Abomination is my second favorite villain from the entire Marvel universe that includes the MCU and the cómics as well. What I like about his character giving a way into his general perspective, is that mainly one of the things that makes him different to Hulk is that Blonsky was unable to transform himself back into his normal human form. This was one of the tragic aspects of the character. Because historically when he was conceived by Stan Lee and Gil Kane, the idea was to create a character who had twice the power of Hulk and maintained his mental faculties, to boot. In his first outing against the Hulk and had physical abilities that only few could equal on the entire planet. The character has had a variety of incarnations and roles in the Marvel Universe cómics serving as a master spy and member of the KGB, working with General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross fighting the Hulk, as a member of the Advanced Idea Mechanics working with and being killed by M.O.D.O.K. He was being resurrected by Mephisto and increased his powers by the Japanese demonic-deity Amatsu-Mikaboshi.

Abomanation looks cool his cinamatic face just doesn't sit right with me

I see the Abomination got weak like the Hulk did, or maybe the Abomination is stronger than the Hulk now.

I would of loved to see abomination kicking around in endgame in the final battle and explain it as wong had been training with abomination for some time so wong ofc knew about him.

"Jaw dropping"?!... that's generous. Maybe in the trailers. In the film he was reduced to a nonverbal whimpering puppy that screwed up his stage fighting. A far cry from where he came from

The reason why his skeletal structure is so deformed was because the military scientists who recreated the variant super soldier serum used kree blood. That explains why Blonsky was able to completely recover from his fatel injuries from the hulk. Also the reason why blonsky was so power hungry and so aggressive is because the variant serum changed how his body creates testosterone. The serum enhanced his metabolism by a factor of 3x due the serum being weaker than Erskines perfected Serum.......

So is that scientist eventually going to become Doc Samson? It would make sense seeing how that green blood leaked into his head..
