I’m an Industrial Design student from South Africa with a passion for fashion too, some of these brands don’t really have a presence here but your channel always teaches me something. Keep up the good work bro
Nothing more wholesome than finding fellow South Africans in the comment section. I feel the same way. I am getting so much context and understanding to the depthitude of the fashion industry. I wish I had this knowledge prior to being disheartened at my pursuit in fashion. I've been binging because this content reignites the flame and I appreciate it so much . Keep it up!
Starting his brand at 38, ahiii I’m 21 currently and had aspirations of all types of shit at 16 that I haven’t done yet. Not trying to say I lost them of course. Whether it’s him, or some people in my life doing it at whatever age, thank you :) you can still do it!
Man another case of “White Privilege” Beverly Hills High, to SMC basically doing nothing, then turn into a Malibu’s Most Wanted rapper, changed his mind then out of nowhere calls up his boys and becomes a consultant for random clothing lines wow. Much love to Mike, but damn Mommy and Daddy must have had fat pockets.
His story is definitely inspiring, especially at the age he was to start a fashion brand. Takes focus and consistency. He definitely gave people hope to go after whatever you desire no matter the age!
EXACTLY. Amiri is not a fashion prodigy. Amiri himself is a rich, handsome LA party boy that decided to go into fashion because he could and had some cute friends in LA wear and buy his stuff in the beginning…he the. hired a PR team and here we are .
The first time I heard about Mike Amiri is in2012. During that time, Clothing with "Short gun" distressing detail and leather patched MX1 denim gave me a shocking and impressive moment.
This series >>> I hope you decide to do Telfar for an episode especially because compared to a lot of the other brands you’ve covered, they don’t rely on exclusivity so I would love to see how they came up
Let’s see. Get a black t shirt, throw a 4 letter name on it (Zena), get a celebrity to wear it and charge 395 for it. I got it and you are about to make a video about me soon. I’m about to be super rich.
I like Amiri for their boots. I discovered him maybe 5 years ago while I was in the Bay Area. The weird thing is that I've never known anyone who knows what Amiri is or has it. Maybe it's more prevalent in LA? I find his style very similar to Saint Laurent except less chic.
Micki Eyez was crazy nice on the mic. He kinda rapped like eminem did back then. On the third Drunken Tiger album in 2002, he said “check out my solo album in 2003.” Someone tell him Im still waiting. 🤬
I have been doing fashion since 2000, but I got high and never had the desire to get it going. I'm going to try again, I have great Ideas on how to make things better! If you're like me stop wasting time and do what you love to do!!! I will make it this time!!!
I seen someone flaunting this guy's jeans on facebook and see that's he's charging all you over 1500 for a pair of jeans that costed him 10 dollars to make... if u understand money you'll understand that's a bad investment with a little to no resale value I'll stick with my 30 dollar levis
