Somebody should do a documentary about the CCW!! That was some of the best Rastling of all-time!! I I'm blessed to have grown up in P'cola and was able to watch the CCW as a kid.

Don't forget Columbus, Ms! These guys were like Rock Stars there. Hell, i bought so much memorabilia from CCW. The Nightmares, Wildcat Wendell Cooley, Lord Humongous, The New Guinea Headhunters, Adrian Street, The Bullet, etc.... Damn, this brings back childhood memories.

@@michaelstallings5824 Yeah, Rock and roll express and Midnight Express. Shawn Michaels and Marty jannetty. I always liked the Head hunters music before entering. Lord humongous was my all time fave though. That hockey mask sold it. Plus i was heavy in to Friday the 13th.

In the 70s & early 80s I grew up in Gordon Alabama...about 20 miles south of Dothan. I used to go to the Houston Co Farm Center on Friday nights to watch these matches. Then on Saturday mornings we would go to WTVY Studios in Dothan & watch the matches being taped for Saturday afternoon. We left the Dothan area in 1981 when I was 12 & moved to Satsuma Alabama...about 20 miles north of Mobile. On Tuesday nights in Mobile we went to the Expo Hall here in Mobile for Southeastern Championship Wrestling. Great Great memories!!!

Dewayne Perry In the 70s & early 80s I grew up in Gordon Alabama...about 20 miles south of Dothan. I went to Ashford Annex School thru 6th grade. We moved in 1981 when I was 12 yrs old to Mobile Al. Man, I remember the Houston Co Farm Center on Friday nights as a boy...then WTVY Studios on Saturday mornings. God I miss the old school wrestling... as a child I watched Bullet Bob Armstrong, Rick Flair, Austin Idol, Adrian Street, the Tennessee stud and so on every Tuesday night at mobile expo hall. I met Bullet Bob on night. I was just a little kid that got lost in the crowd. He seen me and took me to the ring and had my mom come to the ring to get me.... he instantly became my favorite of all time. It will never be another BULLET BOB.... I'm 48 years old now and no one has become my favorite except the Bullet.

I'd like to personally thank Ron & Robert Fuller, Bob & Brad Armstrong, Jos LeDuc and many others for the great entertainment they produced for me,my father and many friends which would drive from Panama City to Dothan many times. A time in my life that I'd love to relive if possible. Thank you ALL so much

I was living in Decatur at this time, so I loved this stuff. WWF rarely seemed to be on regular TV (and were doing closed-circuit big shows), but I could always watch Continental (and later WCW) with Gordon Solie...I even had a friend with cable, so I could watch their big shows.

Man, I grew up on this stuff. Me and my dad would watch this all the time. This was the kayfabe era, so we really, really got into the characters and storylines. I didn't follow industry news, though, till much later and didn't realize that Vince screwed it all up by creating a monopoly. I'm all for capitalism, but without business competition then you're killing the entire market.

And according to Wikipedia, the CCW tape library is still owned by David Woods of Woods Communications (WCOV TV) in Montgomery, and it’s the only territory tape library (or one of the very few, but I think it says only) out there not owned by Vinnie Mac. Those need to be digitized if they haven’t been, and need to be on a streaming service.

Yeah my buddy bought the masters from someone that worked at WKRG and was connected to Woods. We watched them all the time cause I grew up loving the shows and was blown away when I found out he had the videos. He’d get mad cause I wanted to watch them 24/7😂

this was the best! No other area did it like those guys! They are legends to this day! Ron and Robert Fuller, Jimmy Golden, Bullet Bob Armstrong, Austin Idol, Norvel Austin, the Magolian Stomper, Roy lee Welch, Charlie Cook, The Flame, The Assians, The Freebirds, Tony Charles just to name a few. Just go back and look at the interviews and promos. That type of showmanship started in the CCW!
