Hanna and Barbara thank u up in heaven for these wonderful shows that I watched growing up as a kid. I loved Dexter, Johnny bravo, scooby doo, powerpuff girls, jetsons, flintstones, and my favorite one was tom and Jerry. I also thank u for all those fond memories from these shows
Probably my 2nd favorite company. Missed this studio so much and will always remembered. Glad boomerang brought it back... until 2014, so I'm more sad now :(
Super old comment but now that Boomerang is trash now. The majority of Hanna Barbera cartoons have a new home. MeTV toons coming to airwaves June 25, 2024
Well seeming that Powerpuff Girls is a really good series of it's time before the Stupid Reboot... Truth be told... I kinda prefer the Anime Take on the Series better then the original... The Anime had the right idea to keeping the Girls talking the way they where in the Original series with some changes with Blossom's personality... It works for them because it's consistent with there Characters while the other people around them even the villains talk the way we do today.
joseph barker Ew no, the Anime isn't better. It's disgraceful. The original is the better and remains the best version. Nothing tops it. Every action is done better.
I love Cow and Chicken here are my favorite 10 : Cow's toys 9 : No smoking 8 : The ugliest weenie 7 : Going my way 6 : Duck duck chicken 5 : Alive 4 : The day I was born 3 : Who rubbed out Cow and Chicken 2 : I are good salesman 1 : Chicken in the bathroom
Another thing about Johnny is that he has a huge fan base in India so much so that he has an animated movie called Johnny bravo goes to billy wood and the slang word for cool in India is Johnny bravo I’m not jokeing
Ted Turner Made a Deal with Time Warner or American Online at the time. Biggest Mistake Ever Ted did. He Owned it But he just the guy at the corner. Hanna Barbera was most its shows Reruns Cartoonnetwork they took over the channel creating the shows I Love growing up since the start up to 1998 it was still good around 2004 changing programs making new shows living Warner Bros making the changes to the channel. its doing well Not like back in the mid 90s. Awesome Review Dude.
DO AN ANIMATION LOOKBACK ON THE NICKTOONS TV SHOWS AND MOVIES AND ABOUT JIM HENSON TOO. DDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTT!!!!!
Hey, this American cartoon is pretty good! It seems to draw in both kids and adults! Let's buy the rights to make an anime version! Good idea, but, can we suck out everything that made it fun, and gear it at mentally deficient little toddlers? Great idea! We'll call it Power Puff Girls Z! You're a genius! Now, what was this other idea you had called Teen Titans Go?
Actually the last cartoon William Hanna made was Hard luck duck for WAC and the last cartoon Joe Barbera made were two Dino shorts for WAC if you can find them check it out. After that the only thing they did were being executive producers for some Scooby doo and Tom and Jerry direct to video movies. When Bill died, Joe kept being an executive producer for Scooby doo and Tom and Jerry properties until he died. I remember when CN actually paid tribute to Barbera. That man was my idol
could be but it has some parts with access to the sky and it is a massive complex even if it is underground it has to be galifrien from when him and the doctor had an adventure
Thanks to Cartoon Planet, I have seen multiple episodes of all four of these television projects. I will say right now that the Powerpuff Girls is my favorite of those four. This is mostly because of Craig McCracken, the future creator of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, but even as a television project itself it has cute star characters and some fun episodes. Dexter's Laboratory was pretty good as well, but when it comes to Genndy Tartakovsky, I would rather watch Star Wars The Clone Wars. Johnny Bravo is okay, but my main problem with Cow and Chicken is that it has far too much toilet humor. This humor just makes the show disgusting for me. It does not help that Charlie Adler is talking to himself as Cow, Chicken and the Red Guy. P.S. Why didn't Animat at least mention Foster's in the Powerpuff Girls part? I understand Foster's is not a Hanna Barbera project, but he didn't have to mention everything about it. He could just say after the Powerpuff Girls, Craig McCracken went on to create Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and that could be it.
You know who else worked on Dexter's Lab? Craig McCracken who would later on create The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and Wander Over Yonder, Maxwell Atoms who later created Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne, Paul Rudish who later on created the new Mickey Mouse show(2013), and Conrad Vernon who later on co-directed Shrek 2 and Madagascar 3.
I was a die hard Powerpuff girls fan, but I never watch to much of the other shows was because my mom kind of banned me from watching.... but I could get away with watching an episode sometimes. You should know that the people who did some these show, made The Unbelievably popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. You should check it out, it not as little girly mush as you think it is.
I'm an anime fan. And I like the original PPG show than the anime. Really I only saw the first episode of that, and in 5 minute's I can tell that it was not good. It doesn't even feel like an anime. Japan gave us their animated show's that we love like Dragon Ball, Sgt. Frog, Hetalia, Baku and Test, and I can't believe I'm saying but even Ouran Host Club... Etc. Their all briliant anime's. The PPG nah heck no I prefer the Hanna Barbera one. I mean they made T&J, YB, TF, SD, etc. Their all good.
:55 first of all LOL second I believe his lab maybe underground (which does raise the question if he ran into some piepes but I believe he built around them underground hence why there are alot of pipes in his lab
Okay, you got to tell me which episode Will Ferrell voiced in Cow and Chicken! The only other actor I know of that also worked on Cow and Chicken was Howard Morris, the voice of Wade Duck on the Orson's Farm segments of Garfield and Friends.
In My Very Own Personal Honest Opinion Powerpuff Girls Z ( The Original Japanese Dub With English Subtitles) (Not The Shitty Ass English Dub) Is WAY Better Than The Original 90's To 2000's Cartoon And The 2016 Reboot
I love johnny bravo! I used to hate it because of the way they drew Donny Osmond in the christmas special. But, my favorite joke they did on the show was when he jokingly calls the police and says" hello,9-1-1? there's a handsome man in my house! wait...scratch that...It's only me..." I give it a 9 out of 10.
What makes PowerPuff Girls one of Hanna Barbera’s most iconic brands is because other Hanna Barbera cartoons are mostly starring goofy comedic cartoon GUY characters & Hanna Barbera never made any cute show for girls. But now thanks to the help of Cartoon Network, the PowerPuff Girls were born.
I remember when I was little i wasn't allowed to watch cow and chicken cuz it looked inappropriate, lol but since Hannah barbera passed away the reason why cartoon network doesn't have its good shows anymore or what? I got confused at the end.
It was because of the 2007 A.D./C.E. Boston, MA bomb scare caused by adult swim's aqua teen hunger force colon movie film 4 theatres movie publicity stunt went awry that caused Cartoon Network 2 lose good old shows, but Cartoon Network still have some good new shows nowadays like adventure time & regular show & Clarence & Steven universe.
Alonzo Gray Now that you mentioned that Cartoon Network has recently gotten better, there's an even better sign of the network's improvement. It's finally free from Stuart Synder's evil clutches!
***** Sadly, no. She died recently, like, at the end of 2014, and there were no family members listed (I mean, no kids of her own listed). She seemed to want to just do something else.
0:49, the first time I watched this I didn't pay attention to the giant thing in the back of the house and wondered why the fuck they have a couch outside.
Dexter's Laboratory was one of my favorite Cartoon Cartoons. I remember, at one point, that I actually liked it more than the long-running Ed, Edd n Eddy.
THE HANNA /BARBERA STORY OMITTED THE FEATURE CARTOON THAT WERE ASED ON CHILDREN'S CLASSIC BOOKS, NOTABLY "CHARLOTTE'S WEB", ALSO THE SHOW "WAIT TILL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME" POPULAR IN THE 1970s IS OMITTED, TOO. PLEASE MAKE A NOTE OF IT.
Johnny Bravo, was fun when he chased girls and had one i mind every episode, but the other one with a new supporting cast was mostely confusing. Great job I love this, Dokumentary, History lessons of this great company that have struggled for what is shown on TV! Could you possible talk about the history of the 1990-2000 cartoons? About the law what shows got aired, what companys that got bankrupted and what become of Super Heroes? Or maybe the history of Super Heroes. I am a Spider-fan!
There was also another episode of Cow and Chicken that was banned (at least in the US) because it had the red guy offer chicken cigarettes and then doom him to hades for taking them... yeah, it didn't go over well with the parents
Hell yeah! This is my childhood right here, specificly the Powerpuff Girls. My gosh, my cousin and I were so obsesed with them! I had PPG clothing, accesories, pillows, dolls, stationary, stickers up the wazoo, quite a few video games, a CD that I still listen to, and a HUGE poster on my closet that's been there for maybe 10 years! Ahh nostalgia...^-^
The Johnny Bravo Scooby Doo crossover, was the 1st time that someone else beside Don Messick, (Due to retirement and later death) who voiced Scooby. Hadley Kay voiced Scooby in that episode. Plus the christmas short as well.
