Pitt Fall was a drop tower ride at Kennywood amusement park, once the tallest in the world at 251 feet. It provided an exhilarating free fall experience at speeds up to 65 mph. The ride closed in 2011 and was replaced by the "Black Widow."

Pitt Fall was one of my favorite rides. If I had a seat facing the hill across Kennywood Boulevard, I could see the living room window and the house I grew up in. I have never ridden the Black Widow and I don't think my equilibrium would let me.😆

Anyone remember when you could get kennywood tickets from giant eagle for 18 bucks. Only 2010ish. Equal to 26 bucks nowadays.

Nice video. Hopefully someday, we'll get to see a recreation of the Pitt Fall in the way they did it with the Bayern Kurve and the Kangaroo.

Facts. I rem thinking in my head 3 2 1...n it wouldnt fall it seemed like it was always different or i never got timing right. Which honestly made the ride that much more thrilling. Cedar points has nothing on the pitt fall its so boring compared to pit fall maybe cuz im from pittsburgh area...but id think most ppl want to fall quickly not slowly fall and go up or the other motions Cedar points does. Its fun Don't get me wrong. But ill forever be chasing the pit fall experience!!

I went to Kennywood yesterday because of the new deal if you buy 24’ season passes you get to go for the rest of 23’ as well, Steel Curtain was closed still, rides were closing and reopening, like Raging Rapids, which I got on! I also was able to get on Spinvasion and it was very epic.

My grandma went to west view park, I saw the site it once stood on, it’s now a shopping center, a horse that was on there carousel stands on the sign for the center there

The first time i rode pitfall was 2001 when my dads work had their family picnics there i felt like the rugrats with the robo reptar on the eiffel tower after it dropped

Where did Pitt Fall end up going? Back then, when I heard it was up for sale, I was really hoping my home park SFDL would buy it because at the time they didn't have any drop towers at all.

As of right now it hasn’t gone no where. It was apparently bought, and that’s it. It hasn’t opened up anywhere else since Kennywood.
