I was one of those "Firefox fans that switched to Chrome" but it was around the time chrome ate Ram like crazy and on my old PC it actually mattered, so I switched back to Firefox, I still use it today since then. Maybe if my PC could keep up with Chrome I could have switched for good, who knows... anyway cool info.

Oh wow, you must have switched later. Chrome was legit quick and nimble for a number of years there. But yeah, eventually it became incredibly bloated, and on older PCs, it really was a hog to use. I've been using firefox for a year now and something is just making me stick to it. I dont know what and i dont know why. But i just think chrome uses all my RAM and makes my mac get hot. Firefox just gives me a vibe that chrome users think they are cool but they not, they are really are just being watched by google on chrome.

Firefox had the best add-ons. The Quantum update killed Firefox by making most add-ons incompatible

I have been using Firefox since 2006 because I was annoyed of how what a mess Internet Explorer was back in the day. I tried out Google Chrome but then switched back to Mozilla. I still use and prefer it over Chrome because Chrome is so anti-privacy and a memory hog. As for speed, I don't really care about which browser is faster because I have Linux running on NVME SSD. Another reason why I stopped using Chrome forever is when I had malware ruining my operating system. I managed to wipe everything out except in Chrome. I was unable at the time to find or figure out how to restore everything back to 0 in Chrome because ads and pop ups would show up everywhere in Chrome. I never had this problem with Firefox before because it's much easier to remove malicious scripts and restore the browser. Lastly, I use HTML and CSS alot and the source code editor in Chrome is annoying.
