Chili's was one of the first places to offer free soda refills. That was unheard of to us until my babysitter took us there one day for lunch around '82 or '83. It was a game changer. Now we are all huge.

With Chilis decline into being another forgettable mediocre casual dining chain, it can be easy to forget that Chilis was once a pretty damn good restaurant.

I certainly remember eating at Chili's in the mid-90s and they were a very unique taste. Nowadays, their quality has definitely flat-lined.

I think I"m losing my mind. I distinctly remember at one point the restaurant was called "and Chilis.." And then changed to just "Chilis." Anyone?
