At 1.17 into this video you see Norton with an address of Bracebridge Street on it. In 1996 I worked for a company called Hydraforce Hydraulics who were based in part of the Norton factory along with T.A. Savery I know there was a preservation order on the Norton part Hydraforce moved out of Bracebridge Street around 2000/1 to Newtown Middleway. Then moved again in 2015 to Aston Hall Road T.A.Savery also relocated to Coventry around 15-17 years ago if I remember correctly I retired in February 2016 😃😃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️❤️👍 👍

The Nortons’ they’re building now are simply gorgeous. I’ve got two Triumphs’ currently and would never separate from them, but would love a couple N’s to join them in my garage… maybe a Laverda too…..

My favourites? Dominator ( over the Commando) and the fabulous Manx. The feather bed is the only bike frame people can actually name

In 85, my beautiful 73 850 Commando and I had a rather violent parting on I35, (Stemmons Frwy) at Motor St, now Medical Pkwy, in Dallas Tx. Despite being pretty torn up for quite a while, I still yearned to be riding “Black Beauty” again. Sadly, it was if the gods had other plans, because every length of the frame now resembled a pretzel, and the engine being literally cracked in two, it was never to be. I’m still drawn to the old Nortons, but sadly I’ll never ride again due to the long term orthopedic, and other medical issues I’ve had to endure for all these many years, because of that accident. (an 18 wheeler was also involved) sigh…..
