@@sephirothone-wingedangel6484 gw2 was not a port gw2. copy everything it did in gw1 and changed a few things not to mention gw2 gets streamed a lot more then bfn aka brokenvill
"Meanwhile, the plants look more violent and deadly, like Chomper and Peashooter." Ah yes, Little ol' Peashooter, the most terrifying plant in the game
Dude seriously. I see why they made the ice peashooter money. IT WAS OVERPOWERED IN THE SECOND GAME. IF YOU MAXED IT OUT IT COULD DO WHAT THE ICE LETUCE DOES. ITS PLANT FOOD LITERALLY FREEZES ALL ZOMBIES IN THE LANE. Sorry I've gotten more mad throughout these comments and that's why I use a bunch of caps
as a little kid I was *terrified* of the guy screaming NO when you lost, I was so scared I literally ran up the stairs with my little brother who would play with me and cover our ears... lol
PvZ GW: old characters, new gameplay (compared to the tower defense games) PvZ GW2: change for the sake of better gameplay PvZ BfN: change for the sake of change, not better gameplay PvZ H: "we want $$$ so let's increase the rarity of some cards for no reason", but otherwise fine
@@nino.a6054 cause there were no variations of the charecters no one really bought any coins for phenomenal and other packs so they didnt make enough money from in game purchases
@@sploopy5313 Actually, it was worse than that, not just the fact there were no character variants. They didn't have the new cosmetics available through the free reward system, they shoved them into Rux's shop locked behind slow to earn rainbow stars. Buying every cosmetic outright costs more than 200 dollars, legendary skins being around 10 dollars each. Other than rather bland cosmetics besides the legendary ones, there was no reason to buy or spend rainbow stars because the only other thing to do with them was buy prize bulbs for the battle pass, which can be earned rather easily anyway. Coupled with the fact this game received next to no marketing and wasn't full price to begin with, people weren't interested, and rightfully so. It was a pretty huge departure from the previous GW games, horrendous balancing issues, a weird insistence on making the competitive mode very grindy and luck based on whether or not your teammates would even know what was going on while you were matched against a group of friends coordinating. Not to mention glitches, floaty and sometimes disjointed hit boxes, weird aiming issues when GW got it relatively down pat, and otherwise no progression system to go through once you got everything from the free cosmetic machine besides hours upon hours upon hours of earning experience to level up and prestige. Which, after getting to grandmaster changes nothing besides a profile's cosmetic appearance. The game was a hot mess, and it almost doesn't surprise me that EA pulled the plug on new content within a year.
This game was my childhood. When I taught myself how to use RU-vid, I watched SO MANY ZackScottGames videos on PvZ and I still love the game to this day
Yeahyeah PopCap good EA bad. I agree with EA being a bad company but without them PopCap will bankrupt and thats mean no pvz2 and Garden Warfare francise
I feel like it would have been so much better if they kept character stickers I always get so exited when I get my favorites ❤️ marine biologist you will be remembered
reason why pvz3 got so much hatred is because of the grind out of the 3 games , pvz3 wanted you to grind for exp just to get to the next level , the graphic is "3D" which make it worst because people prefer the original 2D art style , the gameplay just make no senses and its not optimize for older phones like pvz1 and 2 pvz1 is a masterpiece and popcap will never recreate anything like or better the original game , if they manage to do it EA would find some way to lick a few penny off of people playing the game
@@danielmattes6139 might be because of EA and the demand of microtransaction 90% of tower defences mobile games nowadays are like this :" bruv ur stuck at X stage ,just pay us X amount of gems to buff ur unit up and dont forget to buy our premium unit for 4.99$ or watch 1000 ads to get enough money to pass that level "
@@magikanstr6569 the game hasn't been out longer than Garden Warfare 1 and 2 and those 2 games had plenty of updates in their lifespans. Why would they stop working on BfN when despite the critical claims, can still be better via DLCs and updates!? Bet they're more focus on Apex Legends of all games, which is basically a battle royale game but alot of content is locked in a paywall...
Maybe, GW are so fun cause EA didn't touch them so much till GW2 with their packs stuff, all of the stuff of the game was available for everyplayer no microtransactions but now BFN the rainbow stars :/
@@josynadine11 yes it is'nt out yet but the preview of the game is shit, EA destroy it, it could be better Pvz3 game is potrait, that shit too, should be landscape so it can be immersive Also,The animation and 3D concept is shit too , pvz2 dan pvz1 better than that Then, the UI uugghh so childy! Pvz2 UI far better than pvz3 Pvz3 is a downgrade
I was there from the beginning of PvZ I adore the first game. When my brother got me downstairs at my grandmas house and told me POPCAP released I thought he was pulling my leg but no, there it was right on the app stores screen. I bought it and played it for hours and hours. I’ll always love the first two games. PvZ3 isn’t what I’m looking for in the main series but not like we can stop that. Remember to keep those zombies off your lawn until the end. Bye.👋
😭I cant play pvz3 wanna tell that when I was very smol like 7-6 I know this game pvz my older cousin told me :/ i felt like nah it succs but after playing it for sometime it felt interesting then more then more then more and then my cousin stopping me stop playing in my PC and that game is so....amazing so......amazing pvz1 still lives in my heart my childhood best game I dont know why new generation games suck
@@corvusabaddon yeah. "Our vision is complete". It's sad because they basically pulled the developers away from the game against their will. They were working on new content. Ahsoka was definitely in development, and there was also map on Mustafar. But we have mods tho, which is great.
@@seregagerassimov4864 yup its tragic but that's just how EA has operated for a long time now. Their in-house teams are horrifically mismanaged. They've somehow put out like one or two good games recently but they most definitely will mess those up in the future.
@@corvusabaddon yeah, EA is a horrible company, but they at least have some self respect. Activision, on the other hand, is an absolute disaster. I still don't get why it's not bancrupt yet. They are 100% the worst in the gaming industry.
Do you remember a time in life were you were able to play a game and able to experience 100% of the game's content instead of buying evey little thing just so you play a little
I've always heard people complaining about this, but I never experienced it for myself until I got Pokémon Sword and Sheild. It's sad that this is a trend :(
Oohhhh you said the name of the scariest plant ever! With it’s innocent, evil eyes, and it’s EVIl and DEMONIC shape!! It’s more nightmare fuel than pvz3! (I’m kidding, peashooters are the cutest plant ever)
This just brings me back ;( me and ma dad used to play this together on the same levels to see who would do better but my dad was really good and beat me a lot but I still had fun we both laughed and giggled I just miss the mobile PvZ so much
@KazeelBaYz The First Oh, I think his likes were at sixty-nine when he added that. 🙄 I figured it out after I replied that. Thank you for saying something to try to help me figure it out though, lol
This franchise will always hold a special place in my heart, the first game of the series was the first video game I've ever played. Since then, there's been no PVZ game that I haven't played. Thank you George Fan, for making this possible.
@@ididsomeunspeakablethingsa4899 Imagine calling me a fanboy because I do not think EA is quite literally the DEVIL as you like to think... I literally just told you facts.
Recently got back into GW2 and goddamn I love the game, plus I replayed the original PvZ over christmas and the nostalgia was insane. What an iconic game franchise
It’s really not all that great. Many of the images used aren’t the ones actually used (see 19:09, that image is an early version of BfN’s character select screen) and sometimes he’s just dead wrong (see 21:21, there is microtansactions, and there has been for quite a while. To be fair though, they are purely cosmetic). This is not to say it’s a bad video of course, it’s just mediocre
@@CD-lj4qs ive dumped many many hours into MW and I will say there are some things similar to both. Garden warfare is kinda like MW but some game modes are spin-offs of game modes in MW. I will say if I had to pick a game to play for hours and hours it would be garden warfare. I’ve had so many memories on garden warfare and it’s one of my all time favorite games I’ve ever played
25:01 this Gave me goosebumps, I love this franchise so much lol I’ve also seen leaked images of an upcoming PvZ dungeon crawler And there’s also PvZ slot machines in casinos
I first played pvz2 in 2014, I absolutely loved it and for the first two days being totally new to the pvz franchise and for some reason starting with 2 I struggled really badly on ancient Egypt's day 8 with the gargantuar, I was satisfied when I finally beat the level and pushed on to the end of the world taking a few tries to beat zomboss, after I had finished far future I went to the first game because back then far future was the last world and the zomboss level was still being made, I enjoyed the first game and 100% the minigames and the main story , by the time I was done, all I did was go back to pvz2 and stay up to 12 waiting for pinata parties to show up to get some costumes, by incredible luck in 5 pinata parties a row I got a costume and by the time the dark ages released all my plants had costumes Big wave beach was the real struggle, but thanks to my brute force strategy and some powerups I got for free from pinata parties I completed it, by that time a bit of money was spent on the classic premium plants, it's a shame that they were obtainable in the first game for free but not in the second, starfruit became my favourite After modern day part 2 was released and completed the quests for gold bloom, aloe and electric currant that's when the game started to become bland a bit for me, no more new worlds just an arena and Penny's pursuit which really beaten up my poor plants due to higher zombie levels I only kept going for the new seed plants, gumnut and explode vine became my favourite since gumnut recharges quickly and has great defence whilst explode vine recharges quickly and cheaper than cherry bomb for the same damage, I could make my own tier list having used every plant ever As for pvz3... well we all know how that turned out for now
“The designs of the zombies weren't really dark and spooky.” Nah man, a zombie using a dolphin as a surfboard and an insane zombie with a suicide bomb disguised as a toy are pretty darn spooky.
Plants vs zombies was my first game I played. I adore the franchised since I first played it. Even made some friends along the way as we share common interests in the game. When Plants Vs zombies 3 was first announced I was excited as heck but when I see the gameplay. I felt like something is wrong is not the game I am used to even though is the same game. I can adjust to the 3D style. But the gameplay is just awful not I was expected. Hopefully they don't let this franchised die in a bad note.
I loved 1, 2, and Heroes but I have yet to try the other games outside of GW2 at a friend’s house. I love this series, and I genuinely hope we get more good complete games in the future.
PvZ3? Man they should have stopped already... Look how they massacred my boy... Ugly graphics, Nothing new, looks like mobile ad... Yeah year 2020 does not want to go well... (Also subbed for good content)
Pvz 2 wouldn't have been bad if all the cool plants weren't $5 WHOLE DOLLARS and op as crap compared to the earnable plants, the pay to win aspect ruined the game for me other than that it was good
@@youraveragehotdog6836 yeah PayToWin ruined pvz but other than that the game looked cool music was cool and it had a nice and funny story but 3 looks like a chinese mobile ad lol
@@youraveragehotdog6836 but keep in mind that pvz 2 is free game and how devs are gonna make money off from their hard work ? And games isn't pay to win at all I beat whole game without spending single penny, also got some limited time plants and tournament ones as well so. Those that cost money are usefull but not that much u have their counterparts freetoplay way. They just simply make ur defence a bit stronger.
@@lukagetiashvili8340 the thing is: the only thing that helps a lot is garden. And I remember when you could easily get diamonds and upgrade and expand your farm for more plants so it was easier. No you can't get diamonds. You need to buy them
@@adonas3903 yes u can't get them by killing zombies but I can still get them by watching ads. When getting diamonds by ads thing was added I farmed so much with it seemed np for me. I hate when ppl call pvz 2 pay2win which obviously isnt.
If anyone hasn’t tried it yet, I highly recommend playing Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Eclise mod. It’s a PVZ 2 mod that removes micro-transactions, brings back the PVZ 1 world style, removes the leveling system and makes Zen Garden only a way to get money and not to get plant food. It’s available as an Android APK and on all Android emulators. All of the levels have also been redesigned and I’ve actually lost numerous times on the very beginning levels due to the difficulty. It’s a great time.
In my opinion, I think it would be a good idea for popcap to continue support with an already succesful game (Garden warfare 2 for example). The game is definatley not dead, and it can definatley be revived
