I grew up on State and Minnesota, one block south of Tweedy. Technically Lynwood, but I did everything in South Gate. South Gate Park was awesome, early 80s when the pool was still new. There was a Sherman tank on the north end you could climb all over and jump off of. On the weekends we’d just be out at the park, or The Allen Theater, somewhere along Tweedy. Never at home, always out and about.😎
Yes remember the tank and what looked like a giant wall slide, my dad had a bow and arrows thers was a place in the back of the park for archery 🎯 those were the good old days
