I've always been one for the silent protagonist like Ryu, but Terry just drips charisma. He is calm, cool, and collected. I love the every man approach SNK took with him. Working blue collar jobs, and a local hero to the people of the town like Stallone's Rocky.

On all of the major original Fatal Fury characters, Terry's personality told the longest to develop. But once it happened, it he took off in popularity. To this day, he's my favorite SNK character & he's a thrill to play as in any game he appears in.

Terry is one of my favourite characters of all time. Back in ye olde days when the nearest game you could get to Street Fighter 2 on the Megadrive was Fatal Fury, me and my brother really latched on to Terry and Andy. We were also a couple of martial arts mad brothers so I guess it just made sense that we would find them a bit relatable. Terry was always my character and he preferred Andy. I spent a lot of my childhood tracking down Fatal Fury games and the animes. I used to draw Terry vs Ryu, never thinking they would ever appear in a game together let alone three.

I just love Terry. I know hes a american stereotype but hes great, His move set is fun and satisfying but come on buster wolf is one of the most satisfying super ever next to the Shin Shoriyuken.

sadly i hate how he is nothing but filler in KOF story...but i am glad he is getting still the face of SNK..i have always considered him the ryu of the game hopefully SNK give him the respect he deserve in their KOF stories instead of adding more school boys with fire powers

I love terry. In KoF, Terry is surrounded by godlike corrupting villains, a bunch of edgy, cringe, teens with fire powers, very serious grim-faced martial artists, and aliens, and he's just a regular dude with 4 specials (one based on slam dunks), who doesn't care at all about any of it and just wants to spam power dunk until everyone is destroyed so he can go eat some pizza and hit on chicks at the mall

I've seen all the man Terry has done well before he was really popular in the west. But yes, I do want to see more. Ya never know when the sobering truth of something not yet known is out there. Terry is a childhood hero of mine, and still one of my all time favorites. Part of it is that I really liked my adopted uncle Terry. Wish he could've stayed, but him and my father, that I really had a hard time with myself, had a back and forth issue. 😞 He can't back and admitted he was upset at the likes. I said it was ok, but I wish I told him I really would've liked him to stay. I should check up on him, but Facebook got mad I didn't use my real name supposedly and lost contact. I could get the info and should, but with nerve damage that suddenly hit me last year may see him well out living me. 6 months later and the doctors only finally got me an MRI 2 months later, showing I may have a chance but making me wait a month and a half before the first of 3 shots that need 2 weeks between them. If that fails, it's surgery, which could see me become paralyzed, or dead. My faith in the world and doctors is severely diminished and painful daily. But I try to hang in to see it through, and know I did all I knew I could do. These days nostalgia of better days is a blanket I try to wrap myself in. Terry here and beyond are two prime characters in my life. This comment went on longer than intended. But I guess maybe it's a kind of therapy, and a symbol why I keep looking at SNK as well done other games, shows, and movies. Games like this were an escape from harder situations, anger, and fear of my father. I tried to make peace enough with it, but it's asking a lot. Sometimes I wonder if I was cursed because I couldn't fully forgive. 🤔 But I think it just is what it is. And despite my dogged luck, all thankful I saw the best ages of video games and media. Hard to beat the 3 decades or so before this past decade.

Two things. First of all, one of my favorite things about your content is being able to see wrestling references while watching gaming content. Second, people say that Terry is more like a Japanese stereotype of an American than an actual American, but try to find a red-blooded American man who wouldn't trade in their day job in a heartbeat for walking around in a trucker hat and fingerless gloves, asking people if they're okay and then cold-cocking them and yelling "BUSTER WOOOOOOOLF" as they try to answer. You won't find one! 😃

I always thought the early Fatal Fury games were Reminiscent of the Street fighter 1 game. Didn’t know the relation was so close. Sweet. SF1 is my fav street fighter… Might be the only one with that opinion.

Question: I can check it out for myself later but, do the digital copies for fatal fury/king of fighters have online on ps4? How are the lobbies? I was interested in king of fighters 15 and this caught my interest.

What I don't get is how Rock Howard felt by being raised by his fathers murderer. Even if we call it a self-defense homicide or something, wouldn't it feel at least a bit awkward? Did he know his father was a psycho? I wonder how they settled things.

I was lucky enough to find out Terry's story game by game in the early 2000s. It could be a great set of movies if done right. I still think its the greatest among fighting game stories...from his early beginnings to KOF to taking the son of his enemy in as his own. Could also have a separate Street Fighter Series and tie together at the end.
