Definetly my favourite version of the Albertosaurus is from Jurassic World Evolution, would definetly love to see this guy in a future movie, a smaller t rex can dedinetky make for some good horror scenes in smaller areas Rexy can't get to
If the Albertosaurus from JWE could sport the same paint scheme from JPOG or Trespasser, that would be incredible. Its good to have amother member of the Tyrannosaur family in the franchise, hopefully the mysterious Teratophoneus gets some more attention in the future!
I'm speaking from the future, JWE 2 has Qianzhousaurus and i hope a DLC or free update introduces another member of the family like Tarbosaurus or my favorite Yutyrannus.
Albertosaurus has always been one of those dinosaurs that I really wished got more representation in media and pop culture. I would even consider it to be my second favorite Tyrannosaurid out there.
I think this should be in the film. highly underrated in my eyes, and I love the JWE design, it's so unique to many theropods keeping it extremely distinct, on par with Metriocanthosaurus
Fun Fact: Before the Albertosaurus was to be implemented into JPOG a tyrannosaur named Alioramus was supposed to be in JPOG but many people were more in favor of Albertosaurus being in JPOG thus Alioramus was cut from the game alongside Ornithomimus, Panoplosaurus, Tenontosaurus, Thescelosaurus, Wuerhosaurus, and Yangchuanosaurus.
Great video of the Albertosaurus in the Jurassic series. I love the Albertosaurus and it’s my second favorite Tyrannosaur dinosaur alongside Tarbosaurus. I really enjoy the new look of the Albertosaurus in Jurassic World Evolution and it looks incredible and I absolutely adore this model more than the one from Dino Dan. Keep it up buddy and as always, take it easy.
Warpath is my favorite depiction of it, it´s such a cool animal! I would love to see it in the big screen, a fight with the Allosaurus would be awesome!
The Albertosaurus just so happens to be the first dinosaur I successfully cloned in Jurassic Park 3: Park Builder for GBA! I'm also going to Drumheller, Alberta this August to see a dinosaur park!
It's commendable that the powers-that-be behind the franchise are showing the public that T-Rex *isn't* the only tyrannosaurid known to science. While I've always liked the Albertosaurus design from "JPOG," I gotta say that the recent Mattel figure's design is REALLY growing on me. 😊
3:09 I thought that was Allosaurus. I remember Albertosaurus being a more agile version of T-rex. I thought it was bigger than Saurophaganax but smaller than T'rex. I'll have to look it up.
The only other time I was ever aware that the dinosaur had an appearance wasn't even a part of the Jurassic Park franchise; it was when Prehistoric Park's final episode had a few Albertosaur's showed up at the beginning of the final journey Nigel Marvin had in that TV show.
Currently rewatching The Lost World on SYFY for the second night in a row and shocked that both last night and tonight they are playing the movie with the 2 deleted scenes placed back in the movie. The irony is that as I was waiting for it to come on last night, I told my wife how I had seen it with the scenes years ago on tv but that was it. Now they play it two days in a row.
personally id love to see maybe a mini series that would be each episode a different story of a dinosaur brought back, like the albertosaurus, the carnos to name some that way more of the general public would know about these dinosaurs and more of an in depth look into jurassic park
I really dig the new look of the Albertosaurus from Jurassic World Evolution. Even though I first saw this dino back when I was a kid in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, I thought it looked nice but I love the Evolution better cause it looks badass.
I'm completely ok if it doesn't appear in a movie, however it would be AMAZING to see the Albertasaur in JW3 but I'm fine with it either way. Thnx for the amazing video Klayton fioriti, peace out! Keep up the great content!😎
The encounter with the Albertosaurus in the ascent in Trespasser is intense, but if so many things wouldn't have ended up in the cutting room floor, there would have been even more intense encounter: In a scrapped plantation house level the player was supposed to end up to a plantation house, and Albertosaurus would appear, and player would need to take cover in the building while Albertosaurus tears it apart and eventually gives up and leaves.
OG was my favorite design of this dinosaur. The reason for this was because simply it was the first time seeing it and if I remember correctly in this game every dinosaur had it's oh roar and I remember this dinosaurs roar was pretty cool and yes it was not as big as other meat eating dinosaurs but was still pretty awesome. It would be amazing to see it in a future JP movie because I wonder what design they will go with.
You also forgot to bring up the hands! I LOVE the hands' new position in a similar fashion to metriacanthosaurus! And Bestinslot's showing of the different skin colors! Though I'd shorten the crests.
I really like the JWE look for him, but I also love the brown color in Trespasser. It’s cool how the Alberto is portrayed as a very lion-like carnivore (I think John Hammond even compares it to lions in Tresspasser). With the Lion King Remake around the corner, I thinks it’s ironic this animal is getting the attention now.
I remember as a kid hoping that Albertosaurus would get featured in a JP movie, as a T.rex nerd I love anything Tyrannosaur. I like the skin pattern from Trespasser the best, but the model from JW:E is clearly the best (obviously), I think the crests over the eyes need a little tweaking though, they seem more like armored plates to me currently.
I used Albertosaurus to 5 star the sanctuary park at the end of the latest JWE DLC. I had 5 star facility and 4.5 dinosaur stars. I saw I was a few hundred points short and I didn't want to wait for all the fossil expeditions to get the authenticity scores up. So what I did was go to all my hammond creation labs and spawned two of each of these shrieky boys into every pen, regardless of what was already in it. I got five stars and I got praised by Claire for making the perfect Sanctuary despite actively ruining her vision for an achievement that let me drive the tour bus.
Even though I was happy to see Alberto to pop up in Evolution, since it has been one of my favourites in my childhood, I'm little dissappointed of it's appearance. It's basicly a more bland version of Allosaurus. I too prefer the Alberto from Warpath and hope we get the same skin colour for the new fellow ^^ thanks for the video Klayton!
Yes Albertosaurus is my favorite dinosaur of all time mainly because it is the faster and smarter version of T. rex and it was a pretty large carnivore that was 35 feet long the same as allosaurus hope it is in dominion if it is in the northern areas
I love the color scheme of the new JW:E Albertosaurus but I don't like that they gave it crests. If I recall correctly Gorgosaurus is one of the only--if not the only Tyrannosaurs known to have had horns/crests.
I'm almost positive that Albertasaurus won't show up in a movie, largely because it would look like just a smaller T.rex to a casual observer. If you know dinosaurs a little bit then you know Albertasaurus and T.rex looked very different, but a lot of people are still surprised feathers where commonplace in dinosaurs.
Personally for me, Albertosaurus is the only tyrannosaurid that works in the franchise. Maybe smaller but not less terrifying. I really want to like Tarbosaurus in Camp Cretaceous but I just can’t! It looks too identical to T. rex, no matter how much little details they give in its design.
I liked the trespasser look of the alberto, cause it reminds me of a clouded leopard. Also, it should be noted that the alberto is missing the bumps and ridges on the head.
While the eyebrows may be a little exaggerated, the depiction in JWE is actually the most accurate. Gorgosaurus and Albertosaurus had pretty prominent crests above their eyes, much more so than T.rex. It's wrists are also not broken/pronated like almost all theropods in the franchise.
In Warpath, the skin looks similar to the TLW raptors. I grew up with JPOG's depiction the most though like said, not as intimidating as other appearances as even its roar is just Spino chipmunked. I haven't unlocked it in JWE yet, but from what I've seen and heard, it's one of the few species that appear more badass than it does in JPOG
