The History of the Craziest Rust Exploits | Part 2 

I miss the old rust so much. There were so many fun things you could do to keep you interested in the game, but now it is just about grinding non stop so your base wont decay.

Rust can add as many vehicles and items they want. But it will not come close to 2016-2017 rust and the way it felt. I know it’s not nostalgia too because I’ve played og rust recently and it’s so good. The graphics, the terrain, build spots

Old Rust seriously had a special gem about it. Sad we will never experience it again 😔

I really do miss the old terrain, especially the red grass biome. I wish they would bring it back.

I would like to share two more things our group came up with (or at least we think so) From back in 2017-2018 • When the half blocks were still a thing you could place a foundation on the floor just outside of someone’s TC coverage on the farthest side on that foundation you’d place a doorframe and on the closest side to the enemy’s base you’d place a pillar now going around that pillar trying to place a second pillar you’d end up placing horizontal pillars without the loss in stability meaning you could build up high enough (7-10 pillars vertically) then build horizontal pillars and eventually drop down on enemy’s base, if the reach of vertical pillars wasn’t enough you could extend it by placing a mix or small/large wooden signs on the same vertical pillars whilst being mid air. (Would be useless now with the helicopters but back in the days in Amsterdam II this was a neat party trick) • Before copters (2017-2018) when player was wounded (On the floor or mid air) an invisible field would generate around the wounded player (roughly 1 foundation around.) We would bind a button to kill ourselves whilst jumping of the said horizontal pillars and use the other person who’s wounded in mid air as a step ladder 🪜 so to speak. Took a lot of trial and error. I’ll try to find the examples of this in the archives, but no promises. • When the Jack o lanterns were introduced (Won’t be able to quote a patch note exactly) Throwing one out on the ground whilst someone else is shooting (don’t ask how we figured it out) Would crash anyone’s game in the draw distance except for the person who dropped the Jack o Lantern. Possibilities there were endless Tips provided by The Doctor Amsterdam II Miss the good old days 🧦🕳️

you used to be able to softside pick stone doorframe from outside if its corner was exposed meaning, you had to have walls in parallel of the doorframe. You could also build twig roof to ANY floor even without cupboard. You were able to do this up to 3 levels high floors. with player boosting you could scale bases 5 floors high. Pretty minor abuses compared to all these rock glitching but I wanted to share these still.

A piano or other musical instruments can be placed in the foundation, with the instrument's seat serving as an entrance and exit to the foundation. Inside the foundation, one can attack enemies outside, while those outside cannot attack those inside.

you can have unlimited power by charging a battery and then server reset it will give full 100power without draining it

i remember when we stacked 27 single door wall frames into one of the old cave models. And evryone doing the same.

Build was so much more fun back then. I remember all the cool footprint you where able to pull of, nowerdays it's just a hand full

i remember seeing some video where this guy put like 30 wall frames in a single foundation and had a shit ton of garage doors acting as an insane airlock making it hard to raid

ramsey used to unlocks key locks by crafting bunch of keys cause key locks had a number from 0 to 100 and when you craft keys it also gives it a number from 0 to 100 so if you craft enough keys, one of them is gonna match the door you wanna open

Remember back then there was a day where people could use the Dev console or some shit to spawn in a bunch of C4, that day was crazy

ONLY 1 I DIDN'T SEE WAS THE 1 WERE U COULD USE TC AND BOXES BEHIND 2 WALLS THREW THE CRACK

5:15 You can now do that with the attack helicopter and when you're underground you can shoot a base with all your rockets fron below and foundation wipe it.

Legacy rust building up next to a base and jumping onto the roof if you disconnected right before impact you could wake up inside the base

Back in very early rust you could just lean and head glitch through walls, position yourself well enough and you could see everything in the room 😂 soo many funny glitches over the years

I remember not so long ago that you could place foundations at random and if there was a stash under where you placed it it would automatically appear.

Horses, when they just added them you could free look into a base (while hugging it) and take the shit inside of it.

I remember people abusing the video filters in old rust before the nights were so dark to make it as bright as day

Heh i forgot those...its been a looong time. Also when cars happened, you could so a similar boat glitch to fall underground. (tho you got kicked for flyhack) People also looking with horses inside your house. Also some private servers had a bug when if vending machine was low on some material (that you can also sell back), you could come with a lot of wood/stone and start selling and get 100x times more material back. When weapon update for turrets happened, you could stack a trumpet on a turret that already had a weapon, making it look....well not dangerous.

There was a glitch a year or two ago that caused ALL of the animals on ALL servers to just stop spawning after force wipe. This lasted to my knowledge for at least a week, and I remember it because getting cloth or lowgrade was near impossible

back in the days a door and door frame next to a rock would literally push you inside of the rock

wow seing 2015/16 rust gave me a big nostalgia hit those caves and ak/bolty icon

and u did not need a door to jump on it. A building plan and then a Wallframe was enought to fly around.

There was a glich with Arrows weapons when you shoot game think you hold 1-5 bows in one hand and deal that amout of dmg so basicly one shot everything

I haven't played early Rust. If these bugs/exploits we're in this day that would be insane :D

there was one when the gamer chair came out you could get thru walls. with it

there was a glitch in 2016 or 2015 rust where if you placed a foundation next to a rock and a doorframe so when you open the door it door pushes you into the map you could put boxes down and bags it was nuts i didn't get to use it because admins where banning people for doing that at the time.

i love how ive seen all of these clips already lol

there was a glitch for one wipe if a large battery was full it would stay at 100% no matter what you did

Lagacy off map bases You could build bases off the island where you normaly would get killed Rust later the stairs and halfblocks that you could rotate to enter secret lootrooms New rust using fire amo to avoid fall dmg

There is still a crazy exploit with the zip lines that i'd rather not expose and turns you into god mode

Some players have a glitch where there fly sky high and spin really fast and shoot full auto eokas

Ive been murdered by a invisible bear and pig both different severs when i died to each 😂 not sure if its client sided or if we got ghost animals

Now you can parachute down the drop entrance.

remember that glich when you could build any foundation and door frame with wooden door close to any rock or mountain, stand in front of the door and open it, so it was pushing you inside the textures? it was the golden rust era, that glich was not fixed for months. and you could build inside, place a bags, etc. I was always building inside the river's source rock

there is glitch where i use to build inside of rock its inraidable base i use to do it in Rust v1252 it is the best glitch ever
