I love the Galli scene in Jurassic Park. It's such a well shot scene, and the lack of music in that scene also really adds to the atmosphere especially when the T-Rex comes barreling through the trees.
I love the happy music at the beginning, bc it kind of reminds me of todays topic...the Gallimimus. I have always seen them as the "funny", happy, little "birds" of Jurassic Park. A cool counterpart for the brutal T.rex or the savage Raptors. I love these little birds since the "T.rex hunting scene" in the very first JP movie.
One my favorite scenes with the gallimimus was in Fallen Kingdom when the dinosaurs were running from the volcano (and a bit when they escaped from the mansion). Unlike the larger herbivores that just smashed the obstacles in the stampede, they actually had the challenge of going over them as, well, an obstacle... There was one that was able to quickly move over the log while one had to take a moment to recover from a jump that wasn’t as good.
@@riamus7258 No, underrated means that people don't like something due to ignorance regarding how good it actually is. The Galli is unpopular because it is (to the average joe) boring, not because they don't know how good it is (which doesn't really apply). Rather than underrated it is underappreciated.
I like how I can actually relate to the most recent ones like the recent games, movies, and action figures instead of feeling left out because I’m still kinda young.
It was a Parasaurolophus. In fact, it was a repainted prop of the one that was going to be used for the Japanese fishing boat scene that was scrapped in TLW.
I love you're intro, you're my favorite RU-vidr and now I have the fever and your videos are a cure. I'm sick af like the triceratops in the first movie
Klayton, I really have to say, I love your channel too much. Jurassic Park is my favourite franchise since I was a kid, I remember too watch every single the movie was on tv. Since I found your channel, one part of my childhood was back to me and I really appreciate the dedication and hard work. About the Gallimimus scene, I like it, but I confess that my favourite scene is the Raptors in the kitchen and the Rex came to rescue, for me they are the best in the first movie.
GALLOPING GALLIMIMUS' BATMAN!! :D All cheeziness aside though I was super glad to see this video in my subscriptions box. And yes Gallimimus is DEFINITELY one of my favorite dinosaurs in the JP franchise.
I had a gallimimus figurine when I was a kid in the 90s. I remember that I wanted it really bad for Christmas and on Xmas morning it wasn't among my gifts under the tree at home. However, later in the morning, a neighbor relative called to say she had found some gifts down at her house for us and when my brother and I went down there to see what they were, one of them was the gallimimus action figure.
Galli is perhaps my favorite :) I remember seeing them in JP for the first tjme; I was blown away and amazed how they all traveled in a pack :) Though T-Rex came and made it better!
Hey Klayton, love your work! I recently started working on a fan-fiction centered around the construction of the original Jurassic park. I've pulled information from other pieces of lore such as the Jurassic park game, trespasser, the DPG, and the original novels among other sources. I'd love to share it with you if you'd be interested! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what videos you have in store for 2019.
@@raviothethief8292 it's not currently finished but the working title is Jurassic Park: emergence but that's subject to change. I hope to finish the first part somewhere in the next couple months
Love the channel Klayton Fioriti. After watching many of your videos and hearing you read excerpts from the novel it really left me wanting. The voice artist who does the original reading is very dated in my opinion and I just couldn't get in to it. I'm not sure how it would work with copyright issues and such but I would love an audio book version performed by you. Keep up the awesome content, can't wait for JP3! For now, back to JP:Evolution...
and yet looks like an Ostrich. The filmmakers could've used its cousin, Struthiomimus (meaning Ostrich mimic) instead. Of course, the name is a mouthful and poor tim murphy would struggle to stutter the name.
It is the saddest and horriblest piece of concept art that I've ever seen. It made me very sad and even angry, it ruined my day. If I had been Bayona, I would have slaped the artist in the face asking him "are you out of your fu*ing mind???!!??"
I love the Gali as a whole, it's honestly one I was so eager to obtain in JW Evolution, and I cannot tell you the impact it had on my perception of dinosaurs in the first film
The Gallimimus is certainly one of the most iconic and original movie dinosaurs for the franchise. It has a unique name and is unique because there aren't many closely related species featured outside the games and media. I also like it because I am certain the franchise inspired for it to be an addition to the classic dinosaur game franchise Carnivores which I have loved played since growing up.
I love their little screeches, minor Jurassic World Evolution Spoilers? So... When you unlock the island with the Power Outages but you start off with a buncha cash; I actually started off making a T-Rex and then Gallimimus for it to Eat. They were so much cheaper than making and CONSTANTLY resupplying Meat Stations. Apparently the guest liked the carnage cause my rating shot up in about 20 min of real time. Always loved the scene where they're flocking and they get ambushed by the Rex, apparently the Devs and digital guest were fans of that too.
I really like the Gallimimus scene in the first Jurassic Park, actually more than the hadrosaur stampede from the novel. For me, it's one of the most remarkable moments in the franchise as a whole.
I had no Idea the Galli was an omnivore, learn something new everyday. Also pretty coincidental that this video on the Galli, Came out after I got the battle damaged Mattel Galli today.
I had a fan fiction i wrote during the time Lost World was out where I had an enraged gally attack someone in a pen. It didn't kill the guy, but it really messed him up good!
the gallimimus scene in the first film is pretty important because it reinforces the message of how, even without jurassic park, dinosaurs still live among us as birds
Ah, the gallimimus. It is funny beacause when i saw jurassic park for the first time my dad asked me what they are, and i said that i thought it was gallimimus. Then the characters had the same conversation.
I love the Gallis, but most of the time they're just kind of there. It was in Jurassic Park on the Sega CD where we saw them in a new light: as a giant ostrich with bear claws that's perfectly willing to attack you if you mess with their eggs...and that they like eating frogs and eggs.
I had that hatchling and adult Gallimimus from the original toy line. Good times. How would the skeleton of that Gallimimus from the first movie still be around? I imagine Rexy wouldn't have left any part of it behind.
You forgot to mention that it was the skeleton Gallimimus running in the lands of Hawaii that convinced Stephen Spielberg to switch from stop motion to CGI for the first Jurassic Park movie.
You know, out of all the JP games I've seen you bring up, I've never heard you mention The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Chaos Island for the PC. I LOVE that game and even still have my copy of the game from all those years ago. Any chance that could pop up at some point?
Really love this dinosaur. Fun fact, adults that watched the 1st movie when it came out, told me the that, in the kitchen scene, it was a Gallimimus along side a Velociraptor pursuing the kids. Where they took that idea from, I have no idea.
I think it would be cool to own one. They are like large chickens. And in JWE they make really cute sounds. I take one or a I’d take a dryosaur form JPOG
Whenever watching the volcanic eruption scene in Fallen Kingdom, I always imagine that if I where one of the dinosaurs, I'd either be one of the sauropods or a Gallimimus.
