as i have heard this tibetan old text are mostly Bonpo script, because Tibetan buddhism was started in tibet only after six century with king Tsrongtesn Gompo where translation of so many text with hand written is bit difficult to accept it as tibetan buddhism but bonpo was from early time so as tibetan buddism started flurishing in tibet with help from the royal novel people, bonpo were removed so internal conflict went out on religion topic during langdarma time. and Trisong D. time with help of Guru padmasmbhava conquaring over bon made this text to hide it in the caves.. even many were burned... many our local stories are mixed with epic stories and fact stories,.. ie in mustang guru padmasabhava step in the land which is fact but he killed a demonic dakini and her heart was plucked and threw on a hill and the hill became red , which is made epic, so the hill is called red hill in local dilect,... the demonic was not a demon but it seems she was a strong deity of Bonpo.... early time King, the royal have really been active in the buddhism flurishing over the land.... the king and queen who have played especail role in the buddhism uplifting are also counted and god and goddess ie, Green tara is daughter of King Amshuverma, queen of tibet ,wife of Tsrongtesn gompo. ... white Tara was queen from china, wife of same king... And in early time the one who looses the battle are counted as demons and the winners and the royals are khandoma, dakini, sangye,.. and all the transltor are just lotsawa.... script : Sambhota, tibetan script was introduce by Thon mi Sambhota after mid 7 century,.. where king Tsrontesn gompo's target was to translate buddhism into tietan, but the old script are from 6 centurey too... tibetan buddism have shared some similar text .. which is far beyond to real buddhism in india..

It's weird ,why this type of scrip is called two different names, some say 'BON YIK' means script of bon which is pre Buddhist Tibet . Some relate it to minyak which is new to me.
