Interested in moving to WallyWorld in the distant future. I’ve read about the town. From MI and now TX. Miss being by water. Have family a few hours away.
@@wesleykrombelrealtor You said "this is where it began" but you're standing in Yalesville, by 68, not on N. / S. Main crossing Center, which is the original part of Wallingford.
@@jpiper16Original settlement was along Main St. Not North and South Main. They established a settlement directly along the Quinnipiac River. Settling up by North and South Main St would have been too far from the water. There were eventually a group of families who came from New Haven area who then divided the area into large lots. This began to include the portions on North and South Main that you are referring to.
@@wesleykrombelrealtor one of those large lots became the Howe farm. My house, near town centre, was on land once farmed by the Howe family. Fun fact. Two-of-the Howe sons were named Nathaniel and Jeremiah. My sons, born before we bought our house, are named Nathaniel and Jeremiah. Wallingford is a great place to live and raise a family.
