Hello everyone!
And welcome back to another Tekken 8 video, with us under TWO weeks away from the next big release, I figured that today we could cover another character that Ive yet to touch on in the series, one revealed just last week, the hidden assassins of the sands and vessel of the demon Azazel, Zafina!
Whilst Zafina had her debut In Tekken 6, her intertwined role to the story as well as infusion with Azazel, makes her a very unique and peculiar character, as their are very few they have welded the power of a devil, let alone utilise It without succumbing to its influence, yet their is more then meets the eye with her own ties to the devil gene, so who exactly Is Zafina? And what Is her narrative Importance, to 8’s story?
Well that Is what we will be exploring today!

Zafina has one of the coolest designs in Tekken and the best newcomer in the series since Tekken 6, I'm glad she came back in Tekken 8 as she's very relevant to the main plot of Tekken, it was a shame that she didn't play any significant role in Tekken 6 and Tekken 7.

I have a feeling that Kazuya's Devil form's new appearance has something to do with him absorbing Azazel's power at some point in the story.

Such a criminal choice not to have her in the base rost of Tekken 7. It demonstrates that they didn't really know what to do with 7's story back then... She is turning out to be a major plot point and she could be ten times more popular and interesting!!

I play Tekken religiously and Zafina has been my main ever since I saw her idle animation back in Tekken 6, which was about 15 years ago.

I think Zafina is one of the most unique characters because something happens to her in story that actually changes her gameplay and look in future installments. I wish other fighting games did that.

Zafina is interesting, she's def a new-era Tekken character and Harada really elevated her presence from a newcomer to a potentially story-heavy anti-hero?...Either way, she's cool.

@@KingHoDoKaNI dont think she will die but Kazuya will absorb Azazel spirit from her I believe at some point in story that leads to his final form shown in the story trailer. Claudio also plays a big role too potentially since he is a exorcist. Zafina has already fortold that he has the power to destroy the devil in a special orb intro she has with him in Tekken 7. Alot of things could happen.

When I first know about Zafina, I never thought of her as nothing more than a side character with nothing to do with the main characters. Until someone pointed out that she sealed Azazil inside her, I was blown away as I never knew about this info or how important of a character she is in Tekken narrative despite the fact that she barely had any focus in Tekken 7, the game introduced me to Tekken in the first place.

Zafina can be a good character. I hope she gets more presents in the main story, if they decide to do a DLC story expansion to give characters who are DLC story opportunity.

Yes DLC story expansion is something tekken needs to start doing since MK did it with 11 and is going to do it again with 1 it gives us a chance to see what some DLC fighters are going through or events that lead up to the main plot. Plus we can get a glimpse of what the outcome is and what the future for the series holds.

She's great to use in Tekken and annoying to fight with in my experience. Overall I want to see how Tekken 8 handles her character story.

When you do a history behind the warrior for Kazuya can you please mention how he is a sneaker head and collects sneakers because it was shown in his recent Tekken 8 trailers that he still has a passion for collecting sneakers and he has a collection that puts people like DJ Khaled to shame lol. I thought that was cool that Harada kept Kazuya a sneaker head from the Tekken 1 manuals and now that he is the head of a corporation he has amassed a huge collection of rare sneakers. Also his alternate costume in Tekken 1 with the wife beater and distressed Jeans he is wearing some red Nikes that resemble Blazer Lows showing he is a true sneaker head and very fashion forward with his distressed jeans.

Zafina is my all time favorite Tekken character, EVER. If she’s not in the game I’ll literally not play the game. I got so high in ranked with her yo. And I’m planning to do the same in T8!!

@@LoneTaurus82 I’ve been using Zafina since T6 ever since I was kid. I had to have been 4 years old when I found her in that game. She’s been my favorite ever since. From child to adult she has remained my favorite character.

@@coldblizzard5880 Wow you were pretty young when you played T6 but what a great character for you to discover then! I'm much older than you. I would have been like 25 then lol. I missed out on playing T6 in its prime at the time but bought it on the cheap later on along with TT2 but I been playing Tekken since T3. I always thought Zafina was a unique character. I got into T7 around the time she came out as DLC and when I noticed they added Azazel powers and lore to her it really got me interested to give her a honest go and I haven't looked back! I'm so hype for her in Tekken 8 coming up I just hope she survives out in the story mode.

As you know, Zafina's arcade ending is semi-canon. She didn't defeat Azazel, but she did obtain his heart.

Sooooo....basically @JinKazama, why did you make Zafina's job more difficult? Side note, i dislike DLC having main/canon story weight as i played none of the DLC in T7 and only came to know about the interactions and lore impact of these DLC characters much later on...

Zafina is basically Tekken version of Street Fighter character Rose.

And Kazuya is Ryu (classic white gi japanese karate guy protagonist of every 80s-90s fighter) clone. Paul is a mix of Guile (hair, american tough guy stereotype) and Ken (red american karate, to be P2 to rival with Kazuya). They didnt even bother changing Honda, just renamed him Ganryu :D Tekken was never creative, they always stole ideas from Street Fighter haha :D now they are even copying Mortal Kombat's armageddon story, they even copied MK's trailers hahah :D

I think Mortal Kombat 1 is dead because the game was rushed and doesn't have the core features that should be common on launch. Also lack of content and people fed up with NRS and invasion mode being boring not worth the time.

1. Nina has an interesting back story. 2. Asuka's relation with Jun Kazama hasn't been explored yet. 3. Lili's backstory is tragic 4. Unkown is an alter ego of Jun 5. Lydia still has a lot of stories to tell 6. *Reina* and her relation to the Mishimas is still unexplored. What "Trashy Female Characters" are you talking about? 😫😵

Never underestimate *Alisa* (the pink-haired robot), she might look cute and innocent but she packs a punch when it comes to Offensive weapons, she has: - Chainsaws in her arms - Her head can be used as a B0mb. - She can shoot her hands like a Missle. - She can rotate her entire body and use it like a drill.

Yeah she barely appeared and got killed by Kazuya when he ressurected Azazel and removed from her.That was disappointing(Hopefully she is not really dead and comes back in the future)
