I remember a rumor about Pikmin 2 that the most recent Pikmin taken out of the onion is more likely to die than the others. Apparently the game actually has a priority list of which Pikmin color is chosen to be eaten. I've heard in the past that yellow Pikmin are the most commonly eaten, but more recently I heard it's actually the blues.
If I remember correctly, Blue Pikmin are on top of the priority list, meaning that when dealing with something like a Burrowing Snagret, they will always be the first ones to die. Then, I think it goes something like: Yellow->Red->Purple->White The order may be wrong, but I do know that Purples and Whites are at the bottom of the death priority list (presumably since you can't easily acquire a huge quantity of them without grinding, unlike the Original Trio) In conclusion: Nintendo shows their hatred for Blue Pikmin in the game's code YET AGAIN!
Pikmin are attacked in the order they're loaded into the game. So the first one taken out of the onion would have priority over the last. When the map reloads (entering a new sublevel) it also reloads all the pikmin. It's not that there's "a priority list of which Pikmin color is chosen to be eaten" there's just "a list of Pikmin" and when the game needs to load 100 pikmin simultaneously, it uses that list to figure out how many of each type to load. The Pikmin are listed in the order Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple, White, Bulbmin, Carrot. (The same order used when cycling through Pikmin colors, and when the Pikmin sort themselves while you hold A) And within each color, leaves first, then buds, and flowers last. Note that deflowering a pikmin, or feeding it nectar doesn't change it's priority until you enter the next sublevel. I forget if candypop buds re-use the same spot in memory, or if the new pikmin is loaded in the back (least likely to be eaten). Enemy bulbmin are loaded after your squad, but I think wild pikmin are loaded first. Why are the new pikmin listed last? Because they're new. They just reused the list from the first game, and then tacked on new types as they went. Why are blues first? That's a good question. It was like that in the first pikmin game though.
Me and my brother always thought that blue Pikmin worked faster (build bridges, knock down walls) than the other two. I think the reason we thought this was because red Pikmin resist fire and are stronger, yellow Pikmin carry bomb rocks and can be thrown higher, and blue Pikmin don't drown. It's so weird that they only have one perk.
actually blue pikmin 2nd perk is that they can save drowning pikmin it was removed in pikmin 3 because the pikmin ai is now smart enough to go out of the water

This one is pretty baseless I just got it from word of mouth but before I got pikmin 4 someone told me that the final boss was going to like a sentient landmass that you fought while on top of it and I believed that for a while
a while back i had an idea for a pikmin game with a hub area (like pikmin 4), and at the end, it would be revealed that the whole time the hub was on top of a gigantic mireclops, which was the final boss
I remember a hoax someone told me for Pikmin 2, where they claimed that if you threw Purple Pikmin into the Violet Candypop Bud in Bulblax Kingdom they would become Black Pikmin. I don't remember whether he claimed they were immune to everything, immune to being crushed, or immune to explosives, or possibly just stronger than Purples. I'm pretty sure this guy just kind of made it up though to do a little trolling.
I remember my friend at school taught me that if you kill any bulborbs in pikmin 2 weegee would come and weegeefie olimar and turn him into olimon (Literally weegee olimar) I failed the challenge but it is weird.

I actually fell for the Pikmin 2 time limit thing as a kid, made me rush to beat the game when I was being really lazy about time before that. For some reason I liked just walking around and killing stuff to bloat my pikmin numbers to absurd amounts.
I'm still trying to find that one video of pikmin 3 where a sequence break was used to fight the snagret early and using winged pikmin would have them carry the corpses' head over the water but the body stayed on land which ended up stretching the snagret far beyond what it should have. I cant figure out where the video is anymore....I guess its become lost media. In all seriousness i still want to know where that video went.

Anyone remember a fake screenshot for Pikmin 3, showing a supposed Green Pikmin? It was a pretty blurry image showing a Green Pikmin, which looked small like Whites with regular Pikmin eyes, colored green of course and mayybe had brown leaves if I remember right.
can you please not spread the false info about fiddlebert being a hoax. the character is being censored and it's really shitty to see if you understand the full context, I understand that nearly all sources say he's a hoax but please do more research
