A chaotic collection of behind-the-scenes moments & outtakes (bloopers/gag-reel) from The Hobbit movies + ridiculously flamboyant English subtitles. The clip of Thranduil tripping on his dress can also be found here(1:56) Feat: Thranduil (Lee Pace), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Bard (Luke Evans) Kili (Aiden Turner) Gandalf (Ian McKellen) Bilbo (Martin Freeman), Ori (Adam Brown) Dori (Mark Hadlowe) Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly), Radagast (Sylvester McCoy) Gollum (Andy Serkis), Alfrid (Ryan Gage), Peter Jackson, & Moose the giant Shire horse! :) I am sorry there is not more Richard Armitage, he was always very calm and collected in the clips I watched so wasn't chaotic-enough for this video!
(clips include: Thranduil The Elf King tripping on dress / dress trip original sound, Luke Evans hitting his head on the bell, Orlando Bloom singing Taking The Hobbits To Isengard, Aiden Turner getting snot on his face, Thranduil/Lee Pace getting cloak stuck on his head, plus Moose pooping everywhere and much more) :)
I do not personally run ads on my videos. If there are ads it’s because RU-vid or Warner bros are running them. Hopefully if there are ads they do not interrupt your viewing experience!!!
No copyright infringement is intended, this is just a fun video for fans of the hobbit movies and/or the characters/actors involved. This is just meant to be chaotic fan-made fun. I tried my best to keep every clip within the limits of Fair Use, and did my best to only use fonts that were 100% free and tried to reach out to the authors wherever possible if there was question over whether it would be okay to use the fonts in a video like this.
The footage is from The Hobbit Trilogy + The Appendices from the behind-the-scenes features of the special edition extended versions of the movies (you can still purchase them on Amazon!)

Thranduil King of Mirkwood (Lee Pace)
I felt his subs needed to be super flamboyant and shiny, like him. I also included little deer in all his dialogues because in the books they try to shoot a stag in his realm, and his steed in the movies is an elk. There are also leaves to represent his connection to nature :D

Haha yeah I love the scene where Andy Serkis keeps his Gollum voice to ask if Bilbo is okay :P And yeah the orc trying to help Thranduil is classic, especially as Thranduil beheaded one of the orcs cousins earlier in the video :p Thank you for commenting ^_^

He seems like a really passionate guy who loves all the roles he plays :D There were so many more funny Thranduil scenes but I was trying not to get copyrighted so had to cut a lot of them out. He's so funny though and was clearly really into the role. Thanks so much for commenting ^_^

I love that clip! I found it in some random documentary which was actually about the filming after-party they held because everyone was leaving. They were watching outtakes on a big screen, and that clip was on the screen (That's why if you listen closely you can hear people laughing in the background, there was like a thousand people watching it!) I was so glad I found it. I've found some more since, a few little ones I haven't seen on any of the online compilations, so eventually I'll put them together and make a new one of these. I'm working on other content at the moment so it won't be for a while, but yeah I love the dwarves cast they're all really funny (I even found a funny clip of Thorin that will be in my Dwarf Women Beards video - that one will hopefully be up in a few weeks) :D

Yes Andy is amazing!!! They recently released the LOTR audiobooks narrated by him, and he narrates The Hobbit too. They're so good!!!

I freaking ADORE Tolkien, but was never able to listen to the audiobooks that Robert Inglis narrated (no offense to him, but all the characters sounded too old for me!). Andy Serkis is insanely brilliant, he's a famous actor so has so much experience with different voices and also Gollum sounds exactly how he does in the movies :D He doesn't read Silmarillion yet but I recommend Martin Shaw's narration of that (Shaw's version of The Hobbit was also amazing but sadly abridged). I'll link a recently uploaded version of The Hobbit narrated by Andy Serkis but I recommend listening quickly (or downloading it) as it may be taken down. Some days ago I saw meme where Legolas stood behind his father Thranduil and accidentally threw Thranduil's cloak over his head. Legolas laughed and Thranduil said: "Leggy, stop laughing and help Ada!!" I never thought that this actually happened, when Peter Jackson filmed The Hobbit

Everytime I see Lee as Thranduil I can't stop imagining how would the High Elves look like if we were lucky to have the Silm filmed by Jackson. If Thranduil looks and moves and swings the sword like that, how heavenly good would it be if we had for instance Fingolfin or Maedhros doing it! Ah!

And they could even include characters like Thranduil (played by Lee) in an adaptation of Silmarillion, using his incredible backstory from Unfinished Tales (to keep the story "familiar" by using established chatacters). But yes I agree the elves could have been so beautiful in a genuine adaptation of Silmarillion (rather than the nightmare fuel of RoP which I refuse to call an "adaptation" in any sense of the word, lol) ^_^ Oh also, I actually think Lee would have made an AMAZING young Sauron. Young Sauron was beautiful and could manipulate even the most powerful minds using only his beauty and his words. Have you seen Lee in the Foundation series??? It's INSANE how he can seem so brutally evil, while still speaking sweet words. Like especially in the last episodes of season 1 the HORRIFIC torture he levels against the girl (I've never heard of such horrible torture really, because it's endless). He'd have been an AMAZING young Sauron. So beautiful, so tall (he's like 6"5') with such an amazing capacity to seem good or utterly evil. Argh. We can but dream 🙏🏻

Yes I agree :D Do you watch the extended versions? Those are my favourite because they show a lot more of the story and the battle of five armies (the battle itself) made a lot more sense in the extended one! But yes showing how much fun they had also adds a lot to the viewing experience ^_^

Nowadays, I don't really see bloopers anymore in films because everyone doesn't have a sense of humor and take everything way too seriously. Seeing this put a smile on my face. These actors clearly had a great time making this film and just makes me wanna rewatch these movies all over again.

I hadn't thought about that but you are so correct! And the ones you do see (even from an extremely violent and darkly humerous show like The Boys) are very tame - just people forgetting their lines repeatedly. Everyone is probably too scared to make jokes (like in this video how Legolas calls Tauriel a slut lol) because they know they'll be instantly called out and cancelled over it by todays sensitive society 🙉🙊🙈 I've found even more Hobbit bloopers since making this video and would eventually like to include them in another video, but I'm working on so many at once right now I don't know when that will be! thank you for commenting ^_^

I'm thinking entirely new, but it won't be as funny as I've already used most of his actual outtakes that I can find, haha. What do you think? (I'm asking everyone who commented about Thranduil to get some idea of how to structure the video) ^_^

Maybe new people who ONLY want to see Thranduil would appreciate his outtakes from the previous Hobbit video being added but I don't knoooow. I'm still gathering material, I have like 30-40 hours of behind-the-scenes footage now. Only a small of it involves Thranduil but I need to watch every different BTS documentary just in case I miss something important. Luckily I love these movies so don't mind spam watching hours upon hours of behind-the-scenes footage :D Thank you again for the input!! ^_^

Yeah the elven armor is so beautiful!! I also loved the costume degradation in these films. It's not something many people care about, but it was a lot more realistic than in LOTR! I always get the movie guides so you can see close-up images and the degradation of clothing in The Hobbit trilogy was amazing :D thank you for commenting ^_^

Lee Pace really did an amazing job of being an elf. He looks very elf-like, not so human, if that makes sense? And his height really ads to that though they put a lot of people on boxes around him for some reason :o (you see Luke Evans standing on a box to film a scene with Lee Pace in this video, when they're laughing about the horses). I also loved the elves in the movie Bright, they did some CGI or something that made them look amazing :D Thank you for commenting ^_^

@@republikadugave420 Hey random question because you like Thranduil :D I am making a video just about him: his deleted scenes that weren't even in the extended versions, some commentary from Lee Pace behind-the-scenes, and some stuff to do with wardrobe and hair etc. A few people now have asked 'make a vid just of Thranduil' but I'm wondering if that should include stuff I've already added here, or should it be entirely new? I'm thinking entirely new, but it won't be as funny as I've already used most of his actual outtakes that I can find, haha. What do you think? (I'm asking everyone who commented about Thranduil to get some idea of how to structure the video) ^_^

The clip itself was cut up with interviews so I had to remove the interviews and try to weave it back together (you can sort of see the little jump after they lift him) but I was so happy to have it and to be able to share it for people to enjoy ^_^

I love it when the orc tries to help Thranduil!!! And yes Orlando singing "taking the hobbits to Isengard" while half-drunk is brilliant. I saw a different version without the music and it's a little painful because everyone is silent and he's just randomly yelling "Isengard!! Gard gard gard!!" LOL. but with the music added it makes it seem less awkward :D

According to her Orlando is extremely intelligent and thoughtful, which just makes him even more cool in my books :D

@@dongxuehan413 - haha yeah his height is incredible - I always feel a bit sad when I see in his movies they put people around him on boxes (you can even see Luke Evans on a box in one of the clips in this vid near the end, to make him taller beside Lee Pace!). It feels a bit like height discrimination but maybe it makes shots looks more even or something? He also could potentially have played young Sauron really well. Originally, Sauron was very beautiful with a gift for talking anyone around to his way of thinking. With his soft voice, sweet words, and beautiful face he would manipulate people into committing atrocious acts - even ritualistic cannibalism and stuff. Lee Pace is really good at portraying a kind of dark, simmering evil. In his new TV series Foundation, he was able to meter out one of the most brutal punishments that I've ever come across (to a young woman none-the-less) while smiling sweetly so you didn't see it coming at all. @@highvalleycowboy1 Yeah he's awesome and his story in the books is even more cool if you ask me!! In the movie, they made all the stuff about his wife up but he had other reasons to be angry and hurt etc, and why he wanted those jewels! I was actually going to make a whole video just about him as I have some very rare deleted scenes with him in too, but then decided I'd make one with many characters in instead. I'm glad you watched, thank you! And yes it would be so good if he was in the Second Age series but it won't be the same actor. That actor is now playing the Emperor of the Galaxy in the new sci fi TV series called Foundation ^_^

Haha I love that "kill them not me" clip, I was so happy when I found it :D For now I am using basic free editing software called VSDC. It is very simple because my computer is so old I think it would explode if I tried to use anything fancy 😅 I used the normal "add text" feature to make the subtitles, which all editing programs have. But I wove many different fonts and layering together to make the subtitles look like that ^_^ The upgrade of VSDC costs $20 for the year and I am thinking about buying it for "Motion Tracking" which means I could make the words follow the person as they move, haha. I'm working on a HUGE Witcher video (over 20 mins long) which will take months, but I'd quite like to use the motion tracking feature to add an extra layer of coolness to the subtitles, heh. @@BlackCatsyrago - Does she like audiobooks? There is a really good audiobook version of The Hobbit on RU-vid read by Andy Serkis (one of the actors from the movies!). Audiobooks can be a great way to get through a story as you can listen while you draw or clean your room or whatever :D I love audiobooks!! Lots of people hate The Hobbit movies but I really like them, and I love the book so much ^_^

I agree about how tiring it must have been, and also quite dangerous as they had to do a fair few of their own stunts despite the greenscreens and stunt doubles. In one of the fight scenes the actress for Tauriel misjudged her dodge and was punched full force in the side of her head by one of the people acting as orcs :o At the time, no one really noticed she was dazed but when you watch that clip you hear the loud thump as his fist hits her skull. The actress said she was dizzy and a little shaken after but didn't want to cause a fuss so kept on the with the scene. Her stunt double was later completely knocked out while filming a different part of the same fight!! A lot of it was so tiring for them all. People moan about the green screen not realizing how much work the actors themselves had to put in to making it look how it does! Thank you for your comment :)
