The Hobbit Production Blog 8 [HD]: Comic Con Excitiement & Peter Jackson's Final Days Of Filming 

No need to be embarrassed, I feel the same way. Watching all these blogs, seeing the amount of work and effort put forth to building a masterpiece. Something to last the decades. Hearing those two conceptual artists say something along the lines of, "we drew it on paper yesterday, then today we're walking through it." How cool must that be! When Elijah W. talked about returning to a set 11 years later, the mix of emotions. Time flys and I as well am envious of just the experiences they've had.

Never thought a production video could be so emotional. God Bless you Peter Jackson

Peter, how can you be so brilliat AND personable AND tireless?

This was so sweet to make blog videos during all of the filming ! Just amazing and real nice for the outsiders, namely us.

I'm embarrassed to say but this thing moved me heavy for 20 minutes. The time invested together as a group, building The Three Rings trilogy, well, it's something they will remember for a lifetime.I'm envious and highly anticipatory of the opening. PS-I'm growing a John Howe beard. PPS- When cate blanchett feels privileged...! Whoa.

I'm so glad that they're making 3 films, so much more of the story that I've always wanted to see is going to be brought to life :D

This will be the best movie since Lord of the Rings...and I can't wait to see the final result of this incredible amount of work, they put into this movie.

Hey! I´ve seen The Hobbit today. Finally! I was really excited and I´d have to say it was worth the waiting. I´m actually not much a fan of 3D,but this here is really great. I also had my doubts how you can make three movies out of such a small book, but now I can imagine how this is possible. Well done cast and crew! One year to wait for movie number two....

The 5 wizards (white, grey, brown, blue and another blue) of Middle Earth are Maiar spirits given physical form to aid in the fight against Sauron. They are known as the Istari. The two blue wizards went into the East and were never heard from again. Radagast the brown stayed among nature. Sarumon and Gandalf went to the peoples of Middleearth. Some Maiar also became balrogs, which adds depth to the Bridge of Khazad-Dum scene, and justifies Gandalf's fear for an unknown creature.

Peter said he wants to turn Part 2 into 2 parts if he is allowed. He said he has a lot more extra footage that he doesn't want to waste on behind the scenes and extra scenes for the dvd, he would rather make another movie out of it. Let's hope he's allowed!

I was kind of hoping for Bilbo to scream "NO WEST SIDE IZ DA BEST" when he ran into any of the goblins.

I thought the Dark Knight Rises was the best in the series. But nothing can beat peter jackson's LOTR. I think the hobbit will be great!

This was just for the first film. I think they still haven't finished filming the second movie (not sure if they've even started). Anyway yeah, this was for the first one, they aren't showing anything about the second one just yet :)

I love lord of the rings alot more than any of the nolan batmans but the last installment of the batmans was pretty great to be honest, the hobbit has big shoes to fill is all i am dsaying. Peter Jackson is the big Kahuna so i believe in him!!!!!!!!

They filmed them all at once, but they still have to do the CG and editing on the second and third before they can be released.
