😂😂 hey man I still haven't seen season 2 yet (gonna wait to watch with a friend when it's all out) and I'm pretty sure we all want to run away from that show😁👍
@@MixMatch53 I was one of the innumerable crowd that hate-watched S:1 on pirated accounts (not giving Bezos any revenue). And if I find a good company to do it with, I'll hate-watch it again
@MixMatch53 I actually enjoyed season 1 but like you I'm waiting for season 2 to be completely out before I watch it... On a real note I hate how Lord of the rings fans are becoming more and more like toxic Star wars fans.. is the show perfect, no is it another chance to visit Middle-Earth, YES...
@@MixMatch53 apparently even this year some movies are released with a 3d version. Deadpool & Wolverine, Transformers One, even Moana 2 and Inside Out 2. Cows will be getting milked.
3:08 "Fight your own battles, Gandalf" I do not read the book, But I do have little bit of an idea why Gandalf was sent to the Middle Earth in the first place and that is to guide those people in countering the forces of evil (I know there could be more complex reasoning but that was the general idea) So in essence, Gandalf among everyone else in the series is the most faithful on his task and giving missions is his own way of guidance and countering Sauron's presence in Arda.
Okay, finally got to see the mashup in its entirety after a brutal day at work - so it's a treat to watch! First, I loved the mix of reactors and reviewers in this one. They laughed and gushed at all the right places (especially VKunia fan-girling all over the map). I always love to hear people's shock when Smaug speaks that first time - too long exposure to GoT makes people believe all dragons are mute. Sub-point, one thing I have learned over these last few years of reviewing reviews is, black reactors leave comments that can be comedy gold - Aubrey, EOM Reacts, Asia and BJ and Rob Squad, just to name a few. But this time, there were reactors that I never heard of until now, and I'm enjoying the new faces just as much! Second, your inserts of comments and characters are clever and fun (and please, bash away at Amazon to your heart's content!). Third, one thing about our fan community is the fact that we can look on these movies as family members - which means they get razzed without mercy. Now if you remember, I applauded your reduced use of one snarky squad from the LOTR mashups; but for the Hobbit, you replaced them with another - they made some great commentary at several places, but perhaps they got used too often? (Just my observer opinion as a guest on your channel, your mileage may vary). Fourth and most important, I *enjoyed the ever-livin' hell* out of your video!!
The thing I love most about these videos and the reactions is how you mash up the different versions of covers of the songs in and for the movie. Like with the first one and "Misty Mountains" and now this one with "I see fire" I love it
There actually is a simple explanation for why the spiders could talk even after Bilbo took off the ring. And that is they didn't talk because of the ring. They just happened to start talking after he put it on. In the books, it's made clear that they simply have the ability to talk sort of like Smaug.
I think that's fair and probably how id answer to. However in the movie it's explicit that they started talking when he put on the ring. Why would they not start talking beforehand? It would seen very odd to make the decision to not make them speak and then just make them speak on cue when the ring is on since that would be telling the audience that is the rule. Simple solution was to just make them speak from the beginning before the ring was on and just not make it seem that the rule was in place. This might be just a miscommunication with the writing or just a simple inconsistency.
@@MixMatch53 Yeah, it certainly is confusing and the movies didn't make it very clear, but according to the books at least they're just able to talk and in the movies they just happen to start talking after he puts on the ring, making it look like the ring is the reason why he understood them.
That.... fucking love triangle is the ONLY thing in the entire Middle Earth saga I irrevocably detest. Tauriel herself is an OK addition to the thing, but she could have been SO much better.
Benedict Cumberbatch did an excellent job doing the voice of not just Smaug, but learning Black Speech to voice Sauron. The sound/voice editors did excellent work adding effects to both voices as well.
Recognized: Colm McGuinness whom I know from his work on Critical Role intros! Also recognized: Janet Devlin, because her TikToks are kinda fun, and she's got a very dreamy singing voice. Always nice to see familiar faces, and thank you for including them, Mix & Match!
The sad reality of these movies is there was so much green screen used and stand ins that ian McKellen literally broke down in tears while doing a scene.
Yea. That event you described was in the first film. It was during the filming the bag end scenes. It's unfortunate that happened to him. At least peter brightened up his day afterwards. I do respect Ian wanting to be with other actors while acting.
We technically should've seen Bard's grandson in Return of the King since he appears briefly in the book where it mentions that after the death of the Witch King, Sauron sent an army of orcs to Dale and Erebor to fight Brand (the grandson) and Dain, an army of spiders to attack Threnduil and the elves of the Woodland Realm, and another army of orcs and spiders to attack Galadriel and her husband
We didn't even get the knights of Dol Amroth or Forlong the Fat (third leg of the mighty Fatty triumvirate of LOTR) in the ROTK film, Brand would have been too much to hope for.
Love is a theme in Tolkien's stories. In order to tell about it you need some females at least. I think the love story makes sense and it's really sad.
I must admit, this was very good compilation of viewers and laughs to say the least XD. You have done a fine job indeed Mix and Match. I have watched since the Lord of the Rings and I must say you done well! I await the future that you can bring! When you show people who love stuff like this! Good stuff man!
My childhood classic, makes me feel like a kid every time, now even better with all these reactors who are enjoying it with me, I LOVE THESE VIDEOS 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, he is. In the books, most of the Dwarves' outside of Thorin get little focus or even Character outside being loyal Dwarves. Balin, however very much does and his deep fondness for Bilbo is very evident.
When you mentioned last time that you are planning to make a hobbit mashup reaction, I didn't expect that the upload will come out very fast it's like it already made in the background, and just needed minor tweak here and there, wow! good work as always!
It will forever be my favorite movie of the trilogy, it may have its flaws, but for me it is perfect, has a especial place in my heart. Thanks for the video! 🎉❤❤
It's such a shame this was stretched into 3 movies - so many bloated storylines Peter Jackson was forced to include in them. Movie 1 should have ended with the capture of Gandalf and Bilbo entering Erebor's treasure cavern. That would have left watchers on edge for movie 2.
I've never wanted to leave a movie and demand my money back for being subjected to absolute horse shit garbage as I did during/after the barrels scene... still to this day I skip DoS solely because of it and Taureil.
You can leave the nasty film critique out of the reaction, because only people, who love the movies, will watch the reactions and we love the movies, for what they are, even if they have flaws and the spoiler comic-chicks are annoying.
Well I feel like people who loves these movies should be able to point out flaws for what they are. I love these movies to death, and I will point out those flaws however I please. And im not sorry to say im not removing them just because you find it somehow "nasty". AND its way too late to say remove stuff now since 1 it's already on the internet so its redundant, and 2 copyright was tough to even get these out in the first place, it's a miracle that they are in one piece. ive been working on this trilogy for a year and I'm not ruining all i worked to acheive accommodating you because you have a weak stomach for films flaws. Oh and those "spoiler comic chicks?" They are also staying in. Screw you.
@@MixMatch53 But you can`t change the movies anymore, they`ve been shot an finished.... what does it change?... nothing, unless you ask Peter Jackson to do it all over again....not going to happen.... enjoy them as they are.
Yet here you are saying i need to remove the "nasty film critique" when the video is already edited and posted on youtube. Maybe follow your own advice first. Also wow, you aren't listening today. I just said i do enjoy them for what they are. Which is why I still will point out the issues. And yea we cant change what happpened with these movies but that does not mean we should let ignorance run rampant if you want anyone to learn from the past. Peter Jackson is still in the Hollywood business and is working on the upcoming Gollum project in 2026, so you'd think it would be very rewarding if he seemed to have learned from his faults with the hobbit trilogy instead of repeating them. How is anyone suppose to improve their craft if they learned nothing? I don't understand why that is such a foreign concept to you.
Im sorry thats how you feel, I really do, but it wasnt being negative about everything. It wasn't even citing the books. It was citing references and scenes from the movie we all saw. You don't need to be a book nerd to point out issues with the movie. And I did let us enjoy the film. I keep saying this one is my favorite out of the trilogy. I even turned some flaws into jokes for us to laugh at.
Well...that was amazing, as always. I realize that I repeat myself a lot, and I also just realized that I say that I repeat myself a lot, too, so, sorry about that. I also apologize a lot...sorry. Damnit... ANYWAYS! Uh...I really don't know what else to say.
Well the title didn't say full length. And If it was, I wouldn't be creative like I am here so its no fun. And video would be blocked so this is the best I can do.
Well I really doubt it. I haven't seen it yet so you could be lying or being misleading for all I know. Regardless, I'm gonna see it when it's all out and binge with a friend
Well they didnt react to it so thats out of my control. And While I understand the sentiment, even if they did, It's the right call for me to not put them in here this go around. It was really souring on people in those videos, and I believe if I did it again here, It would not have gone well. And I did enjoy editing them in, but self reflection the past 2 years have gotten me to say I did go too far at points. My videos are still entertaining though, and it's not like they are 100% gone. Just here and there in smaller doses. So nothing was really lost I'll say👍
The Hobbit movies weren't the greatest and I'm glad that you've included reactors who are being pretty critical about them. But that being said, when you compare them to Rings of Power...
The stupid group of people with the cartoons were so distracting and annoying. Glad you did this project and well done, but they were of no added value.
Glad you liked it but saying those people added no value is pretty dishonest. You don't even have to like them but you can't just say they added no value when they've said a good amount of things to even check if that's true it's just not fair
Oh wow. ALL of them are clowns? Not even explaining why? Ok. And Tauruel while I like her is a very weak link in this trilogy. So it's not unreasonable for the explanations.
Excuse me, "true fans?" How f&$king dare you. I have read every scrap of the Middle-Earth legendarium, Tolkien's published translations, his short stories and the letters that could be found. What make you a true fan and not me? This is why some of you reactors piss me off, your elitist mentality towards those of us that just want to have fun with something we love.
