THANKS! I'm old enough to be a Hollies fan from their beginning and I've never seen this before. 1966 was a very pivotal year in rock music with new sounds progressing further every week. Monterey Pop was a few months away, but lightyears ahead of 1965.

I think that Eric left temporarily the band first and then Bernie entered the band for the Swedish tour. Then they returned to England and started to record a single - *Bus Stop* and started working on a new album (For Certain Because(?) and some random singles - but Bernie returned to his job and The Hollies hired some other bassists for the next studio sessions - including the Burt Bacharach/Peter Sellers (they recorded that track with Jack Bruce) random TV committees: (they appeared with Klaus Voormann) and then Eric suddenly returned to appear on the Bus Stop release on Top Of The Pops before he did definitely quit the band(!) after that, The Hollies offered Klaus Voormann to join the group permanently, but he declined the offer and finally ended with Manfred Mann... so Tony called back to Bernie and offered to join them permanently and then he accepted and they finally completed the For Certain Because album, the rest is history...
