Really like these videos of these extraordinary bands of the 60s. Amazing to see the musicians out there live, putting it out. No retakes, no auto-tune. Whatever talent and ability you've got, step up and deliver. This has more life to it than studio-tweaked oroductions. Imagine being in the audience and knowing that the music performance made was unique to this moment and this audience. We have lost so much with all the "super-duper" technology of today.
Just listen to those voices!and the fellas smiling and having a good time. What happened to the world after the 80s Who knows but I don’t listen to anything after 1987!
One of the best harmonies they ever did. Great tune, even with all their fooling around. Funny when they're looking around for the steel drums ! ( a recording, of course). Great times were had by all, including me. =)
What a monster chorus!! Many of their songs are very hooky, but this is really a catchy one. The kind of chorus that can get stuck in your head for days.
I love how during the steel drum solo they act as if they have no idea where the steel drum solo is coming from lol(even though they obviously cued it up before they did this performance, now how they did this back then I don’t know but they might have been one of the first bands to do that live)
You know I wish they had not clapped at Tony as he began to sing; he started off strong and clear and I think it was a bit condescending; his voice always sounds like pure singing to me.
