For years I have wondered why this terrific band never got their just due. Finally they are being recognized for their many talents. A great band that produced so many feel good songs when I was growing up in the '60s. Thank you Hollies.
Graham was using a Banjitar. Tony had played it on the previous song, The very last day. A Banjitar is a banjo head with a six string guitar neck. Tony uses a more normal style of Banjo on Do the best you can
@ladybluluv , aibajunno, harvey, and whisper: that is called a banjitar - tony was playing it on 'the very last day' before he turned it over to graham. it is a 6-strng banjo with a guitar neck, tuned like a guitar so he can play guitar chords, but it still sounds like a banjo - great sound, huh?! easier to play than a trad 5-string banjo, that tony switched to, which is harder to play since the tuning and fingering are so much different than a guitar. doncha love it?!?! xo
Joe Bloggs - I concur wholeheartedly - Allan Clarke is easily one of the finest lead singers in rock history - It is sad that not nearly enough people know it!!!!!
