WHY AM I JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS?? I don't know how someone can be all over Shakespeare in print, on stage, and on screen and not know about this series for the entire 11 years its been out. I am outraged and elated. I am incensed and ecstatic. Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, and freaking JEREMY IRONS?? I believe in God now.

How am I just finding out about this series now?!

Brilliant series, and I'm happy to see it's finally coming back on air with another stellar cast.

I like to tell people that reading Shakespeare is a real drag, but watching the plays (especially one well-produced like this) is a real treat.

This series has so many of my favorite actors in it I absolutely love it and it’s helped me become interested in shakespeare again.

OMG what did I do to deserve this? Wasted tears for the long dead? Or galant tears for stolen lives of the highborn, those I call legitimate who are usurped? What's the difference? The diff is I am not alone in my laments. There are those who feel the same as I, 'Albeit some can read, watch, enjoy, the deaths during the 'Wars Of The Roses' with stone cold indifference as entertainment, ergo my weakness as a hopeless romantic is revealed. I take history too serious, I would not make a good Yorkist/Lancastrian King or Duke. In fact I would have gladly joined the clergy to escape the yoke of royalty. I am certain I would have turned into a spartan esque monk who never looks back.

So glad I only bought season 1 lol, I mean I hate the fuck out of how bad they messed up the Welsh in that show, like they butchered that shit, but now I know that the black Margaret of Anjou stuff is only in season 2 so being the learned man of history I am I'll just skip those episodes go right for Richard III :)

The Hollow Crown series. Richard II was bordering on Amazing, Henry IV generally good but Henry V a let down. Tom Hiddleston just did not cut it as Henry V
