I picked up one of these. It's honestly an incredible recreation of the prop, and yes, they had access to the Lucasfilm archive and were able to digitally scan the original which makes it worth the crazy price point alone, not to mention the insane correct detail and the remarkably faithful paint and weathering. Also, only 499 of these in existence! I have several unlicensed and it's no comparison... you chose wisely my dude.
I have a grail replica - but a much cheaper one (less than $30 from Amazon) and I think the RR one doesn't look any better. Shocked at the price to be honest, and that very pronouced grooved surface that I can see in the RR one is not visible in the film version. The film grail appears to be much smoother than what Regal Robot made here.
