The intrepid explorer Indiana Jones sets out to rescue his father, a medievalist who has vanished while searching for the Holy Grail. Following clues in the old man's notebook, Indy arrives in Venice, where he enlists the help of a beautiful academic, but they are not the only ones who are on the trail, and some sinister old enemies soon come out of the woodwork.

The fact they went as far as to explain Harrison Ford’s natural chin scar as Indy hitting himself with a bullwhip during that origin sequence is great attention to detail.

RIP Sean Connery. Before he was cast as Indy's father, Laurence Olivier was considered to play the role but fell ill and sadly died in July 1989. The opening scene was going to involve Indy battling ghosts in a haunted Scottish mansion, but this was too similar to Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist.

An absolutely amazing film. Originally Steven Spielberg wanted to make a James Bond like film when he did Raiders, now he got James Bond for the last crusade. The two have such an amazing chemestry together. Also in the scene where young Indy hits himself with the whip, that was because Harrison ford actually has a scar on his chin from an accident.

This has always been my favorite of the series. If it hasn’t been said yet the temple they go to to get the grail is an actual church carved out of a basalt stone cliff. It’s at Petra Jordan and the pictures of it are amazing. It took many years in the first century AD to get it carved out. Having been done by hand as far as we know, I think it’s as incredible as the pyramids.

can't go wrong with Harrison Ford and Sean Connery riffing off of each other, the story is great, some days I feel like it's the best one, it's an amazing end to the trilogy Also the late River Phoenix (brother of Joaquin) playing a young Indy, Ford himself recommended him for the role

Fun fact: the actor for young Indiana jones is played by river phoenix. He is the brother of Joaquin phoenix who played joker Fun fact no2: the reason young Indy hit himself with the whip, is because Harrison ford has a scar on his chin so they decided to make it part of his character. The scar is visible in the other movies

40:05 out of everyone's deaths, elsa's has to be my favorite. Jones really liked and care for her and how does she repays him? Betraying and letting the main villain kill jones' dad and just so she can get a golden cup. And even after everything she did, he still tries to save her life but her stupid greed for that cup is what costed her life. So no, i don't feel bad for her downfall. And just like you said it, cody: "this is what happens when you have too much greed." And it's so true. It's just sad that there are people who can be so selfish and greedy instead of caring for other people. It's such a disgusting yet pitiful emotion.

Don't feel bad liking Temple of Doom. I love all 4 Indy movies and Tempie's a great rollercoaster of a movie. Indy's dog, Indiana, was a malamute, the same as George Lucas' dog Indiana (who was also the inspiration of Chewbacca)... so yeah, Indy, or his full name of Henry Walton Jones, Jr. WAS named after the dog, George Lucas' dog! And Indy's middle name of Walton is the same as George's middle name.

Fun fact: the tank sequence of the movie took place on top of a Landship tank. They were built by the British army during WW1 to help the Allied infantry break through German defences on the battlefield. In this scene the Nazis are using it as a prison vehicle for Marcus and Indy's father

40:05 That part traumatized me as a kid. Yes, I know she was a nazi, but think about it from the point of view from a young kid who at the time didn't know what a nazi was or that they were even real. So, at that point, the thought of losing her was too much for me to handle.

This one is my favorite Indiana Jones movie. Temple of Doom is still great, it has Short Round as the best sidekick Indy ever had, and Mola Ram as the best villain. But Raiders has Sean Connery... and no one can top that.

35:31 "Why would indy be worthy?" It's not that he wasn't worthy. It was that he knew the traps. His father studied the Grail for a long time and discovered there were traps protecting the Holy Grail. Indiana was sent in because he had his dad's journal with held clues to get through the traps. 38:41 -38:45 "He chose poorly" Listen to the way the knight said 'poorly.' It was a hint, not a statement to Donovan choosing the wrong Grail. Jesus was poor, so His Grail wouldn't be made gold.

Stephen Spielberg really strived towards Sean Connery being Indy's father, because he always hoped he would be the spiritual successor of James Bond. The Christian in me always loves the logic of how the cup could be Jesus' because it's so humble looking.

Kingdom if the Crystal Skill is seriously a love hate. The core of the personal story for Indy is PHENOMENAL. More questions are answered and some things come full circle. Where they went wrong? Really poor effects during a chase scene and they went way crazy with the finale. If you love Indiana Jones, watch the movie. If you just love movies, you might be disappointed by a few things.

Why would indy be worthy he has three reasons 1)he has the book the grail dairy containing g all the answers to the booby traps 2) his father is hurt and only he can save him 3) this I what Donavan wants nobody before him knew about the traps if indy fails (or in this case succeeds )Donavan wanted to take the grail from him
