Superman is trapped by the Time Master and becomes the loneliest superhero in the universe. Now he can only travel forward in time. Everyone he ever knew in 1970 is dead. He is immortal but he can age and he finds himself in a retirement home for heroes in the far future.

This comic dub video is a fan project to engage ESL students in active listening and reading. I own none of the material in this video. It is a fan project. To my students, as always, read, listen and repeat.
classroom.google.com/c/NDM2MT...
Anyone is free to join the google classroom page and find more comics with mp3s. Admission is free, of course. ESL teachers and students are encouraged to join the fun. There is no homework. Not all mp3s feature music and sound effects. Some have only dramatic readings. I upgrade old audio tracks when I find time. Any mp3s with full upgrades are presented on RU-vid.

This one came from a box of my old comics my mother had been storing in her basement for decades. I had no idea they still existed! While visiting the old hometown on sabbatical last year, she gave me the ultimatum to take them with me or she'd finally throw them away. So many priceless treasures in that box. I managed to stuff that box in my old backpack and, at 40 lbs., it was within a pound or two of the allowed weight for checked luggage on the airline.

at the start of the story - I wish that when a character spoke their bubble and or them could stick out from the page a little so you know who is speaking... May not have to be used all the time, but that would be a perfect time...
@priendly
@priendly 15 дней назад
@@cliffwoodbury5319 Interesting idea. Not in my skill set though. For some of my students, reading from my collection was their first experience with comics and the visual cues were nor always clear at first. A friend and colleague kept a comic out longer than expected. She told me later that she couldn't get the hang of the cues immediately. Previously, she had only read Japanese comics and that is a whole diffeeent world. For most comic teaders, there is a clear left to right, up amd down system. With audio tracks, most new comic fans will pick that up quite quickly Still, an interesting idea. I am sure someone out there knows how to do it.

@@priendly I always said if I had the skill and or the money I would make or have made a comic book program to review books. So while you could just create audio and or audio action versions of a comic, you could also critique comics in a profesional manor. There are many catigories (story review/book overview/art review.....) but no matter how one wanted to break a comic book down there would be a way to display it... so something like what I discussed and you replied to would be simple....

Hi, I just discovered you and subscribed. Your voice acting is superb! May I make a request or 3, all Avengers by Steve Englehart. 1) Issue 105 - the Avengers battle Magneto’s savage land mutates! 2) Issues 110-111 - the Avdngers and X-Men take on Magneto himself! 3) the Avengers-Defenders War! 8 Avengers vs 6 Defenders, taking place over almost a dozen issues of both comics! @@RLucas3000 Hi there. Thanks for the kind words. I might not do requests but I will always at least consider them. I almost choose exclusively from the collection iin my office available to students. I feel obligated to do the next instalment for this story though, for the sake of resolution. I start vacation soon so I'm making a few raw tracks here in my office where the acoustics are better. So far, I have begun Kamandi 1 (Jack Kirby), Tales to Astonish 45, World's Finest with Superman and the Teen Titans from 1971 and the Legion of Super-Heroes adventure from this issue of Action Comics. So, I was reading your list and bam. I have The Avengers Defenders war in a trade paperback in my VIP Zone! But still. That is quite ambitious! That may be more in the league of the great Russian ComicBook Geek. I am not saying no but I can't promise either. Someone should do it for sure. Just not sure I'm the right guy.

Would be interesting to reprint an updated version of this story though the Time Catcher is actually called Time Thief, but sometimes those two versions are two different characters or were then.
