Small detail about No Way Home that I really liked was when Aunt May tells Peter “with great power comes great responsibility” for the first time, Peter says “yeah, I know…” which I’m sure is a nod to him losing uncle Ben, and if you recall his line to Tony in Civil War “when you can do the things that I can, but you don’t, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you.” Which means peter has always had these ideals. Just after everything he’s been through in his few years of being Spider-Man, he started to lose hope. He needed to be reminded at that moment who he is and why he does what he does by the woman who loved him the most

I don't mind Peter doing dumb shit, at his age I was doing the same stupid things. People forget that he's still a kiddo, not a grown "kid" like in the Raimi trilogy.

and the whole point of the third act of homecoming was peter trying to stop vulture without tonys tech/help and the whole point of far from home is about how peter learns that he doesnt need to be the next iron man and he decides to continue being spider man

IMO the Tom Holland home is one lowkey my favorite live action spidey movies. Tobey will always have a soft spot in my heart and SM2 will be the BEST spiderman movie to me, but I do like what they did with MCU spidey. He had such good character development by going from a kid eager to please Tony, his mentor/father figure. To being his own solo, capable Spider-Man. I know they aren’t perfect but neither are Tobeys or Andrews SM movies

I just wish the trilogy had more iconic Spider-Man moments, it lacks that Spider-Man feeling and just feels like another mcu character at times

I appreciate this video a lot. And I think you’re one of the few people who actually see through and understand what the studios were trying to do. Long term storytelling. Peter Parker was placed in a world full of superheroes and had powers so young. He wanted to find his place and know what to do. That superhero life was kind of introduced a bit soon when stark recruited him in civil war. So he became so overwhelmed by the superhero life and felt pressure to be like everyone else. This transitioned to homecoming when he was a 15 year old who learnt it was best to stay grounded. Far from home he learnt to not trust everyone blindly and that it’s time to be his own man after the death of stark, but things turned sideways when his identity was revealed and led into no way home. This caused his friends missing out on moving to college, and his reputation tainted. He made selfish but noble choices that led to alot of disarray when he went to doctor strange for a memory wipe. But he then learnt to accept accountability and repercussions for his decisions. He still feels guilty for the death of may because of his choices but now he knows that he can’t let another loved one die because of him. So he makes mj and Ned forget about him and move on without him to protect them. He now knows that with great power there must also come great responsibility, a lesson learnt by May. As long as he’s Spider-Man he’ll always have enemies and loved ones will always be at risk, so he lets them go and carries on with a newfound sense of freedom, “Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man lives on.”
@T3aseW1thease
@T3aseW1thease 9 месяцев назад
i dont understand why people say that doctor strange was dumb in no way home when he clearly mentions that hes done it before just not with a person and he obviously didnt think it was a big deal and the only reason he failed was bc peter kept on adding names to remember his secret identity everytime strange was halfway done

I think why Spider-Man is my favorite even with all the characters in the Mcu is the mantle itself and what it means. He may not be the god of thunder, or the first avenger, or even captain Marvel. But his real power comes from always doing what’s right even when it feels like the hardest decision in the world. He sacrifices his own happiness for the better of the world and being that face to look up to for the little man. No matter how many heroes marvel introduces or how many villains go against them, when Spider-Man shows up he takes center stage.

Ngl, this has to be one of my favorite alternate takes on Peter Parker. Like, he's not exactly "comics accurate," but I love the way they made him work while still staying true to who Spider-man is as a character. One of my favorite parts about Spider-man is how many different interpretations of him that there are, and Mcu Spidey being my favorite movie version of him definitely shows that in a way.

Hated the Iron Man involvement. Should of been the opposite case where he is not even on the Avengers radar. Have him, still fresh from Uncle Ben's death want to be seen more as the hero he is instead of being under appreciated. But by the end of the trilogy he does not care aboht getting it, or even getting thanked for it. But save for Jamenson and his followers, he ironically gets the appreciation and grattitude of the city anyway And post credit scene reveals he gets the attention of Nick Fury and the Avengers as well. After his trilogy he starts to get more crossovers with the other heroes.

It's a great movie, plenty of fun fanservice and it's great seeing the previous Spideys back, I hate its premise and the stupid decisions everyone makes throughout. Doctor Strange being an idiot at the start to kick it all off, not a fan of aunt May dying either, we could've had at least one happy-ish Spidey! And the ending is again really stupid. It would have been better if the spell was just to make everyone forget Peter was Spider-Man, that'd make sense, but it was to make everyone forget Peter ever existed which is...stupid. Guess magic also erased all his documentation and government details or whatever, that really took me out of the story...

I am not a fan of the MCU Spider-Man films don’t get me wrong. I love Tom Holland he played a good Spider-Man/Peter Parker but, the problem I have with the MCU Spider-Man is it just doesn’t feel like Spider-Man. It feels like an Iron Man junior film also spider-Man no way home is got to be one of the most overrated Spider-Man movies it’s good, but I don’t consider as a masterpiece.

ILL SAY IT, ILL FUCKING SAY IT I prefer Andrew Garfield's Peter, I don't think he was a bad Peter, and I am biased cus I was very similar to that depiction of Peter as a teen To me, Tom was too much of a child, he felt more like a 12yo than a 15/16yo and Tobey was wayyyy too awkward so I couldn't relate to him, and I think a lot of guys my age will agree that the whole being so awkward around girls that you cant even speak dosnt happen anymore

Small detail about the No Way Home classic suit, if you watch the credits animation sequence, you’ll notice it seems like Peter made drawings of Tobey and Andrew’s logos from memory. Which kind of confirms that he did indeed take inspiration from them for his spider logo and coverall look of his costume

I loved how at the end you dissected WHY Tony meant so much to Peter in the first place. I recall a certain youtuber whose name may rhyme with “Troyoboyo17” cited that Peter idolized Tony BECAUSE he was a billionaire which ???? I notice the MCU’s take kinda makes Spider-Man fans insane, so I’m glad theres a video like this that isn’t in ridiculously bad faith lol. The mcu’s take is one of my favorites because the writers took advantage of the Cinematic Universe’s long-form storytelling to endear us to the character and slowly raise the stakes and seriousness. Peter’s choice to unperson himself meant so much because ever since 2016, we’ve *seen* the growth, we’ve seen how much he’s been through. In a way its sort of like the Harry Potter movies lmao
@t.j.1584
@t.j.1584 9 месяцев назад
As much as I really like Troyoboyo17’s channel and videos, he has admitted to having a hate boner for Tony Stark. Given by certain comments I’ve heard him say throughout his videos, I think it’s because he has a sort of negative look on billionaires IRL as a whole and just doesn’t like Tony for it? Also I don’t know why he thought Peter idolized Tony for being a billionaire. If we dive deeper into why Peter idolizes Tony so much. Marvel did decide to make a popular theory canon. And say that the little boy in the Ironman helmet Tony saved in Ironman 2 was a young Peter Parker. So he’s not idolizing some random billionaire, but basically the hero that saved him all those years ago (which I wish was touched on in FFH). Plus I think Tony understands Peter on a more personal level since their origins are the same. Both gained great power, used it irresponsibly, innocent people got hurt and they both became heroes using their great power responsibly to make up for their past actions…plus their both geniuses. Tony and Peter’s connection together is actually one of my favorite things about the MCU.

J Homecoming was ok even if spidey was written as a bumbling idiot compared to civil war. Far from home was dookie and no way home was mid. No way home had some good stuff but even the good parts are ridden with issues. THIS IS MY OPINION DO NOT ATTACK ME. i respect your opinion though amazing spider dude. While No Way Home did a lot to tie the narrative together in a way that lent credence to the previous films, I still find it a baffling decision to set Spider-Man's origin back so much that it took 5 years and 6 films to get to us to a Spider-Man that stood for the same values he always did in previous iterations.

But he always stood for the same values he did in previous iterations. If you think NWH fixed MCU Spider-Man or that he only became Spider-Man after that film you missed the whole point of the trilogy as well as misunderstood the narrative being told with them. The trilogy isn't about him becoming Spider-Man he always has been its about him becoming a full fledged hero.
