I just began systematic basketball training for 2 months and I couldn't believe how much progress I have made. I was strictly a back to the basket dirty work guy without a jump shot and now I could run a half court offense. You have to put in the work (for me it is 2 hrs of training every morning at 6am)

Thank you. This video came just in the right time. I feel like I'm starting to lose myself in basketball, and a part of that is for not enjoying it anymore. This is something we all need to do: Have fun DURING it, not only after it.

Could you do a video on not getting mad at the refs I love your videos

Just focus on your game and your team and keep positive energy control what u can control n don't worry about what u can't. The ball always follows good basketball energy so give that energy towards your team n game. Forget about the refs💯💪🏾👌🏾

Hey DeepGame, just found about this channel and it is amazing,i am 15 yr old and really talented and good but my problem is that whenever things dont go as planned i give up so easily and like if a i play someone better than me i am just so scared .I have this problem from past few years and i just cant let myself to not reach my potential. Also beacuse off all this my coach and teammates get angry at me sometimes for not giving 100% cuz i could be really good

My advice for you in particular is to ignore the "giving up", understand that it's ok to feel afraid, and do what you know you need to do (and can do) anyways. Courage is hugely underrated as people think you have to be fearless in order to make things work. You build up that fearlessness by constantly facing fear with your courage and not backing down - Simon, Team DeepGame

You can build up to at least 20 minutes, once or twice a day. Start with that, and then you can expand further from there when you're ready - Simon, Team DeepGame

it's so true my knees are terrible. I need a rest day every other day beacuse i can't walk anymore the day after training. But those rest days are the wurst it's like i feel useless beacuse i can't hoop it's just all i wan't to do but my body does not let me. But the those days that i can play basketball they fly by its like there only 4hours long i just need to fix my knees lmao. I know this is not a question but if u have advice on fixing knees i am al ears :)

I've been training baksetball recently and honestly i don't enjoy it that much. I was possibly the worse player everytime i stepped on a court. My freinds are better than me. And i don't like to feel this way, so i'm not enjoying playing basketball. So, should i just stop playing or just keep working on my skill.

How long have you been feeling this way? - Simon, Team DeepGame

Depends on your motivation. For me I'm a perfectionist so I can't accept being the worst in something ^^. When I started with basketball I used to feel very lost on the court and didn't know how to move or what to do. But that awakened this desire in me to understand the game and so I started to study and practice as much as I could. It's gotten a bit out of hand, now it's 3 years later and I'm a real basketball loco. But also a way better player than when I started, in all aspects of my game. Even though I'm old btw :) Of course you don't need to go that far, it depends how much time and energy you want to invest. But understand that if you want to commit to getting better, you need patience, it will take time. So it's important that you learn to enjoy the process. For me I love to get lost in things so study and practice I enjoy anyway. Plus it gets me out of the house and I move my body and I meet my friends on the court, so all upside. If you do decide to keep at it, maybe some advice: don't just work on your skills but also focus on conditioning and decision making. I've met many players in pickup games that seem quite good at first glance but then they're just gassed after 5 minutes of intense play and ineffective from that point on. If you are in great shape and can run up and down the court for a whole game that will always be super valuable for your team. And 2nd, the decision making is so important, it's a major part of the game. If you can learn to read and influence the game and know what to do in each moment you don't need crazy skills and still can be the most effective player on the court. There are tons of resources out there like here on YT. As a book I recommend "Stuff good players should know", look it up, it's a real gem! Anyway I love the game (if you haven't noticed ^^) and I hope you'll learn to love it too. Don't beat yourself up over your friends being better than you. It's just natural because they have more training and experience, right? Nothing to be worried about. Just ask them for advice instead. Peace!
