I am just glad to know that they are still around. God bless🙏 The Hooters. One of the most unusual unconventional and underestimated Power Rock band in the world.
A lot do. This was one of the last eras of true musicianship. And with the resurgence of 80s music, bands like this are getting re-discovered again. It's fantastic! But all the big bands still touring or reformed of late sound fantastic!
That song is about the love between an American soldier and a German woman from East Berlin in the 1950s. He eventually managed to smuggle her into West Berlin in the trunk of a car by speeding under the ramp at checkpoint.
Durfte sie 2 mal live erleben. Zuletzt in einer Schützenhalle.Seit Gründung meine Lieblingsband.Sie sind absolut sympathisch und singen live wirklich klasse. Danke für eure Musik. ❤❤
Fantastic concert from one of the best bands ever! They have written so many good songs over the years. It is sad to see that they are only touring now in a few countries, when they should be huge all over the world.
Wow -- what a concert!! and talk about bringing back memories of days gone by... I first heard this band on WMMR FM way back in the day and was hooked immediately. I love they way they blend multiple genres -- rock, classical, Irish trad, American Folk/Old Time, to name a few -- and diverse instrumentation into a sound that is unique and utterly brilliant. The level of musical talent and diversity on stage is truly inspiring. For many years, I've felt that this band doesn't get the recognition it deserves -- at least in the United States. Good to see them performing so brilliantly for an appreciative audience. I loved every second of this video -- thank you for the many years of musical excellence. May you have many more.
I lived in South Jersey in the 80's and would see them live all the time. Always a great show! Funny, they sound even better today. Thx for posting this.
Thankyou Germany for the appreciation and fans they so deserve. Hard working, diverse, creative, fun, like a well oiled machine. So proud these gents are from my home town. Eric's shirt says it all, " Philly Against Everybody" God bless Germany and it's beautiful people. Rock on forever.
I'm happy that The Hooters come to Europe and especially to Germany every year. They are so good live, even after all these years. I'm always surprised that they don't have much appeal in the USA outside of Philadelphia, or am I mistaken?
This concert was AWESOME! These guys are outstanding!!! I always liked their hits back in the 80's...but I didn't realize until now just how many other great songs they have...and they still sound super tight as a band...both musically and vocally. I am SO GLAD that I stumbled upon this video. Now I have to find out where their touring... and GO to a show!!!
I first saw them live in 1987, opening for Bryan Adams at Shoreline in Mountain View. Fantastic concert. Saw them again at the same amphitheatre in 1989. Kinda lost touch with them until 2010, when I heard one of their recent songs: I'm Alive. Great song. I heard about their huge success in Europe. Hard to believe that it's been 40 years since they started out, but they still got it.
Damn! Amazing! You guys sound better than any band from the 80s performing now! I hope I get to see you soon, phenomenal! Ok I just added this part of the comment, since I saw this video I've invested in a trip from SC to see see you guys at the Keswick Theater in Philly. I've been listening to your music everyday and I'm so excited to see you finally live in your hometown! 👊🏻🤘💪🔥
such a fun to see this band playing!!!after all these years....they have so much fun on the stage and the sound is great!!!thx Hooters! greetings from Germany
Afgelopen 8 juli 2023 de band gezien in Zakk Halle in Dusseldorf, vergelijkbaar met dit concert. het was prachtig, de interaktie van de band met het publiek was hartverwarmend. Het enthousiasme spatte er vanaf
the background vocals sound like they are precorded or if they are live then there is some in-between from the mic to the PA , some sort of pitch fixer. Because 10 minutes in and every note has been perfect. And no, it's not the band. The best band with vocal harmonies would have had one syllable off pitch at least by now.
HOOTERS... the best gig ever ! greetings from the "magic guy", eric cigarret in tshirt was cool, eye ?! or the coin in the coke-tin... yup... this coke tin was really a mess (nut it is always ;) ).... thax for helping, bro :P
The Hooters: Plenty of strong, actually only strong and no weak own songs. "Karla with a K", "My Love comes in Colors", "One Way Home", "Nervous Nights", "All you Zombies"... Also: "Time after Time" for Cindy Lauper. And The Hooters can and love to play.
mir persönlich ist es ja absolut schnuppe ob lilley schwul ist, wie die nacht finster - jeder wie er mag ! ist auf jeden fall ein netter kerl. hab ihn in nürnberg kennengelernt. klasse typ !
It was co-written by Cindy Lauper and Rob Hyman, so they share the copyright. Cindy Lauper sang some other songs with them (Boys will be boys, my favorite).
