Caltrains scream

I've only heard "growler" semi-officially around here, but I'm sure somebody says screamer too.

Ya you can say they growl but honestly I think the freight trains growl

I can see the peninsula corridor eventually becoming a quiet zone. I hope it does not though.

Frr like it’s better if Caltrain cancels the whole electrification and the CHSR can build its own tracks

@@sixfifty_sebb No, what would be better is if Caltrain refurbishes the gallery cars and replaces the F40s with Siemens locomotives (ACS-64 for SF-Tamien, SC-44 Charger for SF-Gilroy/Salinas), while installing new K5LAs on the MP36s and cab cars Sure, they would probably be those crappy Raised Letter horns, but they'd be better than nothing. And why listen to sound complaints? What are those sovereign asshats in Atherton gonna do, start illegally ripping up rails?

They sound like p2 horns to me tbh

Idk they said 120 and 119’s horns are the Nathan K2 horns but idk

I mean like Nathan k2’s kinda sound the same from Caltrains 119 and 120 horns

If you really wanna know what a K2 on a BBL Cab sounds like, listen to Metrolink 632 through 637.

I think it's very unlikely. Only a couple rebuilt F40 stretches have it from the sound of it. The rebuilt 927 has a P2

Some have wicked horns tho, but a lot of them do have the same ones

the bombardier ones sound a lil different and so does the mp36’s p2 than the f40’s and gallery cars
