As someone who is completly Free to play. (No gold pass and so on) I really like the addition of hero equipment. It makes attacks a lot more fun. When it first came out it was a bit slow to upgrade. However now with the addition of some events or 4 times star bonus. You never really lack ores. Just play your Clan Wars and push some trophies. Saying clash of clans is pay2win now because of the equipment is just wrong. Clash of Clans has always been pay2win. Gold pass reduces costs, build times, and gives you magic items. You could always buy gems and such in the shop. Once a new Town hall releases, after a week at most the top leaderboards are already maxed.
people start to forget that ores and equipment arent meant to be maxed out in 10 days or so, they are a part of your village progress along with the buildings and laboratory if you still complain then maybe JUST MAYBE could tell supercell to make equipment lvls based on hero levels however that does come with a lot of complications to supercell and the community, this isnt a good change now but wouldve been in December or January
As a new player to Clash of Clans, I have to say it's been an interesting experience so far. Coming from The Sims 4, a game I used to love until EA’s microtransactions became overwhelming, I was hoping for something different here. Honestly, it’s starting to remind me of that same frustrating cycle where progress feels limited unless you spend money. While I enjoy parts of the game, I’m curious to see how long it’ll hold my interest before I feel the same way I did with Sims 4. I hope it doesn’t reach that point, but we’ll see how it goes. 😅
Did you know there was one time where supercell gave 2 builder potions and 2 resource potions for free which is how I managed to stack 7/5 resource potions without spending any money.
I am almost free to play (I buy the gold pass each month and that's it). My giant gauntlet is almost maxed, all my normal equipment is maxed except the life gem for the royal champion and king and queen puppets, my frost arrow is maxed fully. Spiky ball is lvl 6 but the nuke and spears are 18 and 19 so I will have to disagree, if you attack and war frequently you can max the equipment you use
It’s a huge inconvenience for the average F2P player not having the epic equipments high level because they keep adding one every month, not enough ores for new ones
At TH 12 max, I got the Black Smith update. It is taking me ages to upgrade them. I do not wish to go to TH 13 until all my Hero equipment are maxed. I'm free to play.
It is not really a P2W I would say, just like all the games you need to grind to get EPIC equipment, it just takes more time. Moreover, its not even that crazy, they made a mistake removing the heroes skin but rest F2P players are least bothered by it. I also don't spend money, I just grind and play the game. It is still a good F2P and if they can't charge how they will earn and keep up with their costings?
@@JacobClashes The moment they introduced an option to buy gems it would have been P2W, you can easily get to the top by spending gems. So my point stays the same, normal equipment are just as good and now they are trying to balance everything, ig that will make game better
Eric one hive, he's got 420k subs on youtube, he was talking about it in a comment section & briefly in one of his newest videos... also i do my research before & edit these videos so don't discredit me
@@JacobClashes Equipments were designed to take a long time to upgrade. Players especially maxed need something to keep them busy. If they weren't as much of a grind, supercell would lose alot more money...simple...equipment are now one of their main sources of revenue
Thing is the bottleneck in equipment really is starry ore only used for high lvl epic equipment. However even in the teen levels of epic equipment, they are still very good and don't need to be near maxed to be viable, especially for lower TH players
