Nice Video! Could you crank the volume a bit on your mike for future vids? I had you at max and it was a little hard to hear without cranking the externals a lot(i multitask a lot so its a little my fault too).

@ryokkeno you are the first person to bring up voice volume so I think it might have been how you had your volume mix. Whenever I test my voice and playback its plenty loud. And I have boosted my voice in editing and tuned background music down which has been the complaint about volume, is that the music was too loud.

I had heard that for awhile. So I wanted to take my shot at this stuff. Glad to see it resonating. Feel free to share with others to keep this slice of community growing! Appreciate the support.

I'm being more aware and deliberate on how I speak. Part of the issue before thinking on it was I would speak to the end of a breathe in and that caused more grinding in the throat. Glad people are noticing. And thanks for offering advice in a respectful way. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your design.

@@thedarklightemissary8463 As a novice Warhammer fan I have doubts but I am confident in my abilities to deliver something truly awesome. I hope I can get the right specs for it, if not I will just do a giant DAoT battleship or something. I am thinking a structure about the size of the major Halo installations (the larger rings I mean, not like 00) but more like a disk with some kind of solar energy panels that extend out from the center. I'm thinking the final shape will be something like the chaos symbol once it is unfurled from itself. I'm thinking 30k kilometers as the default and expands to almost 7 to 10 times that size. That would put it at about the size you suggested. I'm also thinking that part of its function is to fire the energy it collects from a star at a target like a planet or another solar system. It can open up a warp portal and just fire this concentrated energy of an entire star at it almost instantly. I have a secret method for how I'm going to design the unfurling mechanism and I won't divulge that until it's done. I'm also planning some background lore on how they build these mammoth constructs and why we don't see them anymore.

I would stay away from suggesting a Chaos connection. Not much connects the Chaos Gods or Chaos with what was going on in that era. I'd be surprised if the advanced science of the day leaned at all esoteric or ritualistic like that.

@@thedarklightemissary8463 But these were in essence all machines that have become corrupted in some way, I don't think it was made clear that they weren't influenced by chaos. I'm going with "The Men of Iron" In fact the castigator titan has been said to have been influenced by the powers of chaos and it could have been that way since the dark age of technology. Don't worry, I do intend a comprehensive back story for it, but that shape seems like an ideal one for its purpose regardless. It is a functional shape for such purposes so the connection might be accidental. This isn't the first time in the lore this happened either when you consider that a Blackstone fortress does essentially create the same shape depending on how it is oriented and they were built well before the Chaos gods were born, you could say that these shapes have more significance than just the beings that use them. I can say that it's design was imparted to the machines of TMoI by the void dragon so they might have started out as servants of a C'tan but were swayed by the forces of chaos sometime later on because they were the greater power at the time. It's totally possible that they knew that which was not known by the other powers of the time. Plus it might be a crucial part of the weapons capabilities of the immense multi planet sized machine, if it does indeed use the warp like I previously explain. As to that it has a giant DAoT warp portal attached to it that extends from the ship and can use a star to effectively annihilate another star. It's meant to effectively annihilate 2 stars at the same time. I'm still working it out but I will make it make sense, that is my top priority and canon is a close second.

@@thedarklightemissary8463 Yet still when we see these remnants and functional ships from the DAoT, they all seem to have the same basic aesthetic. The could be an influence from the golden age of technology and not the other way around. I think humanity established that look well before the imperium had ever existed. There is precedence for this as I'm sure you are aware. I might go down an even deeper path and write a men of iron and men of gold lore history, but even a brief one needs to include so many known facts of the setting and timeframe. I'm fairly confident I can make it work with a little more research.

I don't think the Tyrant Star is related to the C'tan. Too much warp related stuff surrounding it. We don't know how or even if C'tan can reproduce. Everything I've read indicates all ctan were born at the beginning of the universe...never have we heard of a new one being born later then that. The RPG book that the Tyrant Star comes from basically gives several options for its origin for the RPG game it was helping GMs with but doesn't give anything definitive.
